to see you in Osaka next June, don’t delay in making travel arrangements. 


Plan to apply for your visa (if required, based on country of residence)
mid-March 2024. Approved visas are only valid for three months. Travel must be
completed within three months of receiving your approved visa. More info about

Dear Colleagues,


We are delighted to invite you to the 20th Annual International Conference of
the Metabolomics Society, which will be held on June 16-20, 2024 in Osaka,
Japan, at the ATC Hall. We invite you to join us at the breathtaking venue on
the shores of Osaka Bay, where the heart of Japan's third-largest metropolis
beats with excitement. Conveniently accessible from Kansai International
Airport, Itami Airport, and just a swift 2.5-hour ride on the shinkansen
(high-speed train) from the bustling capital city of Tokyo, Osaka is the gateway
to a world where tradition seamlessly intertwines with the modern and referred
to as the "Kitchen of Japan". As the melting point of Japan's rich heritage and
industrial innovation, Osaka serves as a strategic hub connecting you to the
timeless beauty of Kyoto, the cultural treasures of Nara, and the cosmopolitan
allure of Kobe. Our chosen location is more than just a conference venue; it's a
gateway to the soul of the Kansai region. 

The conference is the official annual meeting of the Metabolomics Society, and
the largest metabolomics meeting worldwide. This is the third time that the
conference will be held in Japan, following the 2005 and 2014 conference held in
Tsuruoka. We look forward to welcoming the metabolomics community, building
strong connections, and discussing world-class research in a relaxed collegial
environment. Let us build on the momentum of the incredible Niagara Falls and
Valencia conferences, that brought us back in-person, and make it the best
meeting of 2024 together!

The conference will cover the major scientific themes of Technology Advances;
Computational Metabolomics, Statistics, and Bioinformatics; Metabolomics in
Health and Disease; and Metabolomics of Food, Plants , Environment and Microbes.
The scientific program will include plenary and keynote talks, three parallel
scientific sessions, interactive poster sessions, sponsor lunches, other
networking events and a dedicated parallel session to promote metabolomics
research in industry. To complement our exciting scientific program, the
conference will offer a welcome reception, vibrant early-career events, a
conference dinner and other engaging social activities.


On behalf of the members of the Scientific Organizing Committee and the
Metabolomics Society Board we warmly invite you to Metabolomics 2024. We look
