We have recently published EIU’s latest global economic outlook. Although the
global economy has shown continued resilience in avoiding recession, increased
geopolitical tensions pose significant risks to this outlook.

 * The US economy is now slowing, and the country’s election will be pivotal to
   the global outlook
 * China, Germany and Mexico will likely be the most exposed major economies
   should former US president Donald Trump return to office and alter US trade
   and immigration policies
 * The threat of geopolitical conflict could lead to reconfiguration, policy
   divergence and supply-chain elongation
