Volumio is a super nice free music streaming platform. I installed it into my
Raspberry Pi 3. I did have some stumbles—my first install had Linux permissions
errors. So I had to wipe it and set it up again. But when I got it set up
correctly I found it to have a smooth and intuitive UI. I use it with Spotify
premium (there is a Spotify plugin that makes this easy), and Apple Music (which
I send to Volumio with AirPlay). I also like the fact that this software formats
the digital stream for my hardware pipeline: I use an Allo DigiOne on the RASPI,
and then a standalone SMSL DAC, which in turn sends an analog signal to my amp.
This all works beautifully and sounds awesome. Thanks to Volumio for making it
easy.

After a lot of thinking (the price tag is a bit high for my pockets), I finally
decided to order Primo and I am very happy with the choice. The design is clean
and elegant and the build quality is exceptional. I have been using Volumio
premium for a year (on a rasPi+HiFiBerry-DAC and it was working fine until a
hardware failure occurred) and I can claim it to be extremely stable and
functional. Now, with the Primo box it also looks very good and my wife is
happier. In the long run, the fact that it comes with a lifetime premium
subscription makes its price comparable with the one of the previous box +
subscription.

Ho un impianto analogico, ho scelto Volumio dopo aver letto molte recensioni
positive e avendo avuto il consiglio di un intenditore. Senza citare le
caratteristiche del mio impianto, posso dire che mi trovo molto bene ad
utilizzare Volumio con il mio abbonamento Tidal. Soprattuto voglio segnalare la
competenza e gentilezza del servizion di supporto che mi ha più volte aiutato a

Buongiorno, Dopo la call avuta con il Vostro gentilissimo Davide va tutto bene.
Con ll cellulare ho avuto problemi a completare l'editazione di Premium, cosa
che non è avvenuta nel ripetere insieme a Davide, i medesimi passaggi sullo
schermo del mio PC. Per il resto bisogna solo prenderci un poco l'abitudine. Il
tasto "Preferiti" non funziona, in compenso funziona la "Playlist" In sostanza
mi ritengo molto soddisfatto

it has a class d amp, so i was kinda worried. but after hooking up my speakers
to it, i'm just speechless as to how amazing it sounds, not to mention how
amazing it looks on my desktop. i am not using this to fill up an entire room
with voluminous sound, so it turns out i don't need a class ab amp. i was using
another class d amp before, the Denon RCD10, and let me just say, the sound
quality just got tremendously better, with the same speakers, and same source.
the difference is discernable to the amateur's ear. it's like going out to a
michelin rated restaurant after having a meal at the local food court. i'm using
this for my desktop system, so it's hard to get a good class ab amp that will
not take up too much room on my desk. the denon rcd10 was doing an admirable job
before i got the integro. but there is no going back any more. the sound is a
lot cleaner, and the resolution is a lot better. it is much more clear and
crisp. it's not like the integro costs that much more either. the integro is
roughly 1/4 the size of the denon, which was already a smallish integrated
network system. on top of that, it is just so stylish, it is a joy just to see
it sitting on my desk. i don't really see any other viable option at this price
point for a small integrated amp that will sit unobtrusively yet will attract
the attention of your eyes, as well as your ears. nice job engineering this
masterpiece, and nice job designing the chassis, whoever did it. life throws you
a little present like this every once in a while. makes it worth living...

Bonjour Après extinction par le bouton ON/OFF ou par le bouton en façade
(couleur rouge), L'application sour Android montre que le RIVO (device) est
recherché systématiquement, quelques fois durant plusieurs minutes. Un
enregistrement définitif du RIVO (un seul Rivo chez moi), pour une connexion
immédiate au Rivo, serait une amélioration. Sinon, je suis très content de cet
appareil. UN MAUVAIS POINT : quelques jours après mon achat, je découvre qu'une
promotion m'aurait fait économiser plus de 100€. Je suis un peu mécontent.

Anniversary Sono circa 45 anni che ascolto musica soprattutto Female Vocal Jazz,
Jazz, Orchestrale (Cincinnati Orchestra) Classica da camera ed anche
contemporanea. Ho un abbonamento a QOBUZ (sono stato tra i primi a fruire di
musica liquida) in passato Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music. Negli anni ho avuto
modo di testare diversi lettori di rete quali ad esempio il top di gamma Pioneer
N70E, Denon, ed il piccolo premiato WTX Stream Tubes di Advance Paris. Ho
ascoltato anche attraverso PC con software rinomati come: ROON, AUDIRVANA,
Jriver il tutto integrando anche Fidelizer in modalità Purist. I casi sono due:
o gli altri non sanno trattare i BIT o voi siete dei Geni! Il risultato è
immediato la differenza palpabile ….non c’è storia almeno per la personale
esperienza. Suono pulito, arioso, dettagliatissimo, olografico strumenti
identificabili nella scena acustica oserei dire in 3D. Le voci assumono vita,
realismo ed il tutto si trasforma in in un "rivo" di emozione. Ogni brano magari
ascoltato decine di volte, VIVE! Mi annovero tra coloro che non pensavano che da
uno 0 ed 1 bit to bit si potesse godere di una magia rotonda ed avvolgente che
evoca analogico, naturalezza. Complimenti! Sono fiero di essere approdato
attraverso la prova gratuita del software Volumio 3 installato su Pc.... al
RIVO. Un percorso, un rivolo di soddisfazione. Apparecchio bello, decisamente
raffinato, robusto e dal magico messaggio sonoro! TOP 10/10 Grazie Massimo

I am very happy with the purchase of the Volumio Rivo. The purchase experience
was easy , shipping was fast and communicative with frequent updates during the
shipping process. Installation and setup was straightforward and as described in
the manual. The HDMI output to be able to view the track information on my
television works perfectly. Interface with Qobuz has been flawless and sound
quality is better than the streamers I have used previously from the Bluesound
Node 2i, iFi Zen Stream and Paradigm PW LINK. I expect to keep the Rivo for a
long time and I'm looking forward to other offerings in the future or any

meiner Hifi Anlage. Zeitloses Design, hochwertige Anmutung und Verarbeitung,
made in Bella Italia. Viele Anschlussmöglichkeiten und ein durchaus ausgereiftes
Betriebssystem, dass auf dem Rivo super funktioniert. Der Klang über den Rivo

I am a Volumio fan for 4 years. In the beginning, I have a simple Raspberry Pie,
and after that the Primo. Since October 2023 the Rivo is a good member of my
hi-fi system. At first, I was impressed: he looks very fine and the integration
in my system was very simple. But then I was a little disappointed: the sound
was not better than the Primo. And the software runs sometimes not in a good
way. After some months, with the help of Davide of the Volumio-Team and some
extra money, the Rivo begins to sing. The Rivo needs: 1. a really good linear
power supply. Not a simple power supply for 100 Euros, but a power supply like
the PD Creative Super-low-noise PSU. Dear Volumio-Team: on my wishlist is a
better power supply! Perhaps you can recommend the customers a good power supply
upgrade? 2. The Rivo needs a better Coaxial output. In my opinion, the usb is
the clear winner..... 3. The Rivo needs better absorber feet! 4. The integration
of high-res-audio streaming service could be better. 5. And at least a personal
wish: I would like to have a remote control. Operation only with a tablet or
smartphone is not my thing. But now the good qualities: 1. Service with
Volumio-guys is very good and they reply quickly. Thank you for your help! 2
With a good power supply, the Rivo begins to sing. He sings much better than the
Primo (but only with usb...) 3. The Volumio software is now ultra-stable. 4.
With a good extern DAC, a good USB cable and an audiophile switch the sound is
impressive! I hear with Qobuz and it´s wonderful to have such a great musical
choice. Conclusion: I have learned, that streaming context is a complex thing.
The better the streamer the more important the context. The Rivo needs much
attention for its context: Router, cables, network switch, and power supply play
an important role in gaining a wonderful sound. You should note that....and then
the Rivo is a wonderful streamer for your music experience. Michael

I got ma rivo after having enjoyed one of the first volumio primo. It sounds
great, you can feel the difference (of course connecting to the same DAC). It
sounds clearer with a higher dynamic. Moreover, it was easy to configure. It was
enough to get back to my volumio primo settings to connect to my online library.
I suggest it if you already have a good DAC to get the most out of streaming
services.

Rivo das Beste aus der Welt des Musik Streamens. Ob Musik von Spotify, Tidal
oder Deezer die Rivo Software ist sehr gut handhabbar und mit allen erdenklichen
Formaten nutzbar. Einfach zu bedienen ein Klang der keine Wünsche offen lässt
und noch voll integriebar in des vorhandene Musikequipment.

j'ai une allim linéaire 5V 3AMP le rivo est connecter a un dac RMI ADI2,
enceintes KALI IM8 avec cables XLR, la mise en œuvre tres rapide et intuitive,
sur un iphone et sur le mac, la relation avec QOBUZ sans aucun probleme, lecture
des fichiers sur Synology flac dsd sans aucun soucis, pour l'instant c'est
parfait.

Finally found a dedicated streamer without a built-in DAC and wifi connection -
works perfectly with my Michi X3 integrated amplifier. Physically, gorgeous
looking compared to the usual black or silver colored streamers. Initially,
thought the blue and orange face would be too much of a contrast to my all black
system but it actually adds some nice contrast. The one comment I would have
would be to have the on/off light be dimmed more - a little annoying at night.
Liked that the wifi antennas are now internal. Functionally, it has worked
flawlessly with no drop-outs using my wifi connection via USB to my amplifier.
The only issue I had was during the initial setup, it could not connect to my
wifi network and took a couple of attempts to get it connected. Musically,
listening through TIDAL it sounds wonderful with greater detail and clarity
compared to my MacBook Pro. Price wise I feel it is a good value compared to
similar products and shipping from Italy to the USA was very quick and tracking
and delivery through DHL was excellent. Highly recommended.

Volumio is a super nice free music streaming platform. I installed it into my
Raspberry Pi 3. I did have some stumbles—my first install had Linux permissions
errors. So I had to wipe it and set it up again. But when I got it set up
correctly I found it to have a smooth and intuitive UI. I use it with Spotify
premium (there is a Spotify plugin that makes this easy), and Apple Music (which
I send to Volumio with AirPlay). I also like the fact that this software formats
the digital stream for my hardware pipeline: I use an Allo DigiOne on the RASPI,
and then a standalone SMSL DAC, which in turn sends an analog signal to my amp.
This all works beautifully and sounds awesome. Thanks to Volumio for making it
easy.

After a lot of thinking (the price tag is a bit high for my pockets), I finally
decided to order Primo and I am very happy with the choice. The design is clean
and elegant and the build quality is exceptional. I have been using Volumio
premium for a year (on a rasPi+HiFiBerry-DAC and it was working fine until a
hardware failure occurred) and I can claim it to be extremely stable and
functional. Now, with the Primo box it also looks very good and my wife is
happier. In the long run, the fact that it comes with a lifetime premium
subscription makes its price comparable with the one of the previous box +
subscription.

Ho un impianto analogico, ho scelto Volumio dopo aver letto molte recensioni
positive e avendo avuto il consiglio di un intenditore. Senza citare le
caratteristiche del mio impianto, posso dire che mi trovo molto bene ad
utilizzare Volumio con il mio abbonamento Tidal. Soprattuto voglio segnalare la
competenza e gentilezza del servizion di supporto che mi ha più volte aiutato a
risolvere i miei dubbi. Grazie

Buongiorno, Dopo la call avuta con il Vostro gentilissimo Davide va tutto bene.
Con ll cellulare ho avuto problemi a completare l'editazione di Premium, cosa
che non è avvenuta nel ripetere insieme a Davide, i medesimi passaggi sullo
schermo del mio PC. Per il resto bisogna solo prenderci un poco l'abitudine. Il
tasto "Preferiti" non funziona, in compenso funziona la "Playlist" In sostanza
mi ritengo molto soddisfatto

it has a class d amp, so i was kinda worried. but after hooking up my speakers
to it, i'm just speechless as to how amazing it sounds, not to mention how
amazing it looks on my desktop. i am not using this to fill up an entire room
with voluminous sound, so it turns out i don't need a class ab amp. i was using
another class d amp before, the Denon RCD10, and let me just say, the sound
quality just got tremendously better, with the same speakers, and same source.
the difference is discernable to the amateur's ear. it's like going out to a
michelin rated restaurant after having a meal at the local food court. i'm using
this for my desktop system, so it's hard to get a good class ab amp that will
not take up too much room on my desk. the denon rcd10 was doing an admirable job
before i got the integro. but there is no going back any more. the sound is a
lot cleaner, and the resolution is a lot better. it is much more clear and
crisp. it's not like the integro costs that much more either. the integro is
roughly 1/4 the size of the denon, which was already a smallish integrated
network system. on top of that, it is just so stylish, it is a joy just to see
it sitting on my desk. i don't really see any other viable option at this price
point for a small integrated amp that will sit unobtrusively yet will attract
the attention of your eyes, as well as your ears. nice job engineering this
masterpiece, and nice job designing the chassis, whoever did it. life throws you
a little present like this every once in a while. makes it worth living...

Bonjour Après extinction par le bouton ON/OFF ou par le bouton en façade
(couleur rouge), L'application sour Android montre que le RIVO (device) est
recherché systématiquement, quelques fois durant plusieurs minutes. Un
enregistrement définitif du RIVO (un seul Rivo chez moi), pour une connexion
immédiate au Rivo, serait une amélioration. Sinon, je suis très content de cet
appareil. UN MAUVAIS POINT : quelques jours après mon achat, je découvre qu'une
promotion m'aurait fait économiser plus de 100€. Je suis un peu mécontent.

è operativo sulla seguente catena di elettroniche: Diffusori – Sonus Faber
LUMINA 5 Ampli – Advance Paris A10 Cavo usb – QED Cavi diffusori – QED Graphite
Anniversary Sono circa 45 anni che ascolto musica soprattutto Female Vocal Jazz,
Jazz, Orchestrale (Cincinnati Orchestra) Classica da camera ed anche
contemporanea. Ho un abbonamento a QOBUZ (sono stato tra i primi a fruire di
musica liquida) in passato Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music. Negli anni ho avuto
modo di testare diversi lettori di rete quali ad esempio il top di gamma Pioneer
N70E, Denon, ed il piccolo premiato WTX Stream Tubes di Advance Paris. Ho
ascoltato anche attraverso PC con software rinomati come: ROON, AUDIRVANA,
Jriver il tutto integrando anche Fidelizer in modalità Purist. I casi sono due:
o gli altri non sanno trattare i BIT o voi siete dei Geni! Il risultato è
immediato la differenza palpabile ….non c’è storia almeno per la personale
esperienza. Suono pulito, arioso, dettagliatissimo, olografico strumenti
identificabili nella scena acustica oserei dire in 3D. Le voci assumono vita,
realismo ed il tutto si trasforma in in un "rivo" di emozione. Ogni brano magari
ascoltato decine di volte, VIVE! Mi annovero tra coloro che non pensavano che da
uno 0 ed 1 bit to bit si potesse godere di una magia rotonda ed avvolgente che
evoca analogico, naturalezza. Complimenti! Sono fiero di essere approdato
attraverso la prova gratuita del software Volumio 3 installato su Pc.... al
RIVO. Un percorso, un rivolo di soddisfazione. Apparecchio bello, decisamente
raffinato, robusto e dal magico messaggio sonoro! TOP 10/10 Grazie Massimo

I am very happy with the purchase of the Volumio Rivo. The purchase experience
was easy , shipping was fast and communicative with frequent updates during the
shipping process. Installation and setup was straightforward and as described in
the manual. The HDMI output to be able to view the track information on my
television works perfectly. Interface with Qobuz has been flawless and sound
quality is better than the streamers I have used previously from the Bluesound
Node 2i, iFi Zen Stream and Paradigm PW LINK. I expect to keep the Rivo for a
long time and I'm looking forward to other offerings in the future or any

Seit vergangenem Freitag verwende ich den Volumio Rivo als Streaming Bridge in
meiner Hifi Anlage. Zeitloses Design, hochwertige Anmutung und Verarbeitung,
made in Bella Italia. Viele Anschlussmöglichkeiten und ein durchaus ausgereiftes
Betriebssystem, dass auf dem Rivo super funktioniert. Der Klang über den Rivo
ist ein Erlebnis und eine neue Erfahrung für mich! Klare Empfehlung!

I am a Volumio fan for 4 years. In the beginning, I have a simple Raspberry Pie,
and after that the Primo. Since October 2023 the Rivo is a good member of my
hi-fi system. At first, I was impressed: he looks very fine and the integration
in my system was very simple. But then I was a little disappointed: the sound
was not better than the Primo. And the software runs sometimes not in a good
way. After some months, with the help of Davide of the Volumio-Team and some
extra money, the Rivo begins to sing. The Rivo needs: 1. a really good linear
power supply. Not a simple power supply for 100 Euros, but a power supply like
the PD Creative Super-low-noise PSU. Dear Volumio-Team: on my wishlist is a
better power supply! Perhaps you can recommend the customers a good power supply
upgrade? 2. The Rivo needs a better Coaxial output. In my opinion, the usb is
the clear winner..... 3. The Rivo needs better absorber feet! 4. The integration
of high-res-audio streaming service could be better. 5. And at least a personal
wish: I would like to have a remote control. Operation only with a tablet or
smartphone is not my thing. But now the good qualities: 1. Service with
Volumio-guys is very good and they reply quickly. Thank you for your help! 2
With a good power supply, the Rivo begins to sing. He sings much better than the
Primo (but only with usb...) 3. The Volumio software is now ultra-stable. 4.
With a good extern DAC, a good USB cable and an audiophile switch the sound is
impressive! I hear with Qobuz and it´s wonderful to have such a great musical
choice. Conclusion: I have learned, that streaming context is a complex thing.
The better the streamer the more important the context. The Rivo needs much
attention for its context: Router, cables, network switch, and power supply play
an important role in gaining a wonderful sound. You should note that....and then
the Rivo is a wonderful streamer for your music experience. Michael

I got ma rivo after having enjoyed one of the first volumio primo. It sounds
great, you can feel the difference (of course connecting to the same DAC). It
sounds clearer with a higher dynamic. Moreover, it was easy to configure. It was
enough to get back to my volumio primo settings to connect to my online library.
I suggest it if you already have a good DAC to get the most out of streaming
services.

Rivo das Beste aus der Welt des Musik Streamens. Ob Musik von Spotify, Tidal
oder Deezer die Rivo Software ist sehr gut handhabbar und mit allen erdenklichen
Formaten nutzbar. Einfach zu bedienen ein Klang der keine Wünsche offen lässt
und noch voll integriebar in des vorhandene Musikequipment.

Expedition impecable, la seule chose que j'ai changer c'est l'allimentation,
j'ai une allim linéaire 5V 3AMP le rivo est connecter a un dac RMI ADI2,
enceintes KALI IM8 avec cables XLR, la mise en œuvre tres rapide et intuitive,
sur un iphone et sur le mac, la relation avec QOBUZ sans aucun probleme, lecture
des fichiers sur Synology flac dsd sans aucun soucis, pour l'instant c'est
parfait.

Finally found a dedicated streamer without a built-in DAC and wifi connection -
works perfectly with my Michi X3 integrated amplifier. Physically, gorgeous
looking compared to the usual black or silver colored streamers. Initially,
thought the blue and orange face would be too much of a contrast to my all black
system but it actually adds some nice contrast. The one comment I would have
would be to have the on/off light be dimmed more - a little annoying at night.
Liked that the wifi antennas are now internal. Functionally, it has worked
flawlessly with no drop-outs using my wifi connection via USB to my amplifier.
The only issue I had was during the initial setup, it could not connect to my
wifi network and took a couple of attempts to get it connected. Musically,
listening through TIDAL it sounds wonderful with greater detail and clarity
compared to my MacBook Pro. Price wise I feel it is a good value compared to
similar products and shipping from Italy to the USA was very quick and tracking
and delivery through DHL was excellent. Highly recommended.
