MEET THE CEREBRAL PALSY GUIDANCE TEAM

Gina Jansheski, M.D. is one of our website content editors and is a Board
Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She
has been a practicing pediatrician for over 20 years, working primarily with
hospitalized patients and children with special needs.

Pierrette Mimi Poinsett, M.D. is one of our content editors. She is a board
certified pediatrician with over 20 years of clinical experience, including case
management of children with special needs.

Pat Bass, M.D. edits content on our site and is a Board Certified Pediatrician
and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is an experienced medical
writer and editor.

Renee Warmbrodt, RN, CPNP is another content editor of our website. She is a
Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has extensive experience

TYPES OF CEREBRAL PALSY

Cerebral palsy is a condition that causes a variety of symptoms and severity of
symptoms depending on the individual. Some may have increased muscle tone,
others decreased. Some children may be affected on only one side of the body,
