AD-SYNC-GUIDE > Ensure your Ncontracts Administrator has provided you with the appropriate > access to Ncontracts Settings Integrations area within > customer.ncontracts.com/institution. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Go to your customer administration page (https://customer.ncontracts.com) and go to your "Integrations" tab, then click on "New Integrations". * Choose Microsoft Active Directory, then click on "Next". * After requesting the integration, let your customer support contact know so that they can activate the integration on the Ncontracts side. * Once the integration has been activated, click on the "Edit Fields" button to map your AD fields to the Ncontracts fields. * The AD fields must be spelled exactly as they are your AD, and they are case sensitive as well. givenName, sn, mail, and title are default, but more can be added if you would like. Once finished, click on "Save and Continue". * In the next window, you can specify which groups you would like to sync from AD to Ntranet. This step is optional, and if you don't need to complete it, make sure to hit the trash can button, then click "Save & Continue". * In the next window, you can specify which groups you would like to sync from AD to Ncontracts user groups. This step is optional and requires user groups to be created in Settings beforehand. If you don't need to complete it, click "Save & Close". * Click on the "API Key" tab and copy the key - you will need this during the installation process. * Download the Ncontracts AD Sync zip file (https://ncontracts.sharefile.com/d-sf151a400b24e4b36baf77b8221a0af2d) and extract it to a temporary location. Depending on your environment, you can either install it on your Domain Controller or any Windows machine that has LDAP connnectivity to your Domain Controller. The Service Account used to run AD Sync needs "Log on as a Service" in your Security Policy. * From the C:\Program Files\NcontractsADSync folder, click on File in the top left corner of File Explorer and open Powershell as Admin. * Execute the Ncontracts Installation Powershell script with the command ".\NcontractsADSyncInstall.ps1". * Once prompted, enter "i" to install AD Sync. * Follow all on-screen prompts. Afterward, you will see File Explorer pop with the application GUI. If one does now show, you can start the "Ncontracts.ADSyncConfigurationApp" from the directory shown below (make sure to run as an Admin!). * The Active Directory Sync Settings Manager will open. Click on "Add A Domain", then enter the relevent information like the examples below. You can either use LDAP or LDAPS, but we do not provide support on getting LDAPS set up. Once finished, click on "Save" in the bottom right corner. * Click on the "Manager Container Filter Settings" button, and then enter one LDAP object per line. Ensure that the domain in the "Active Directory Sync Settings Manager" is spelled EXACTLY the same as it is in "Manager Container Filter Settings". It is case senstive! Afterwards, hit "Save" in the bottom right corner. * Click on "Verify Field Mapping", then hit "Test" in the bottom right. This will ensure that the fields set in Step 5 match those found in AD. * Head back to customer administration, click on "User Management" then "Users" on the left hand side of the page. Ensure that the emails assigned to your users match the emails found in AD. For example, if your users are set up using their User Principal Name (UPN) as their email address in Ncontracts, then you will need to edit the field mappings to bring over UPN to the Ncontracts Field "Email". * Once we have verified the emails addresses, click on "Activate" under the "Integrations" tab for the products you would like to turn the sync on for, or hit "Activate All" for all products shown.
