HOW DID THIS PROJECT BEGIN?

First, I want to tell you that I deeply understand what you are going through.
Whether you are experiencing anticipatory grief because your animal companion is
sick and there is no turning back, or because they have already passed away, I
am here to support you. I know how distressing it is to see a pure and wonderful
being fall ill. I know how sad it is to look into their eyes full of life,
knowing that their end is probably near. In my desperation, I went through the
process of asking my dear ELO not to leave when it was already their time. Now I
understand. I understand that when you were told it was their time to go, you
were paralyzed and didn't know what to do due to the flood of emotions. You
probably didn't say goodbye the way you wanted to or didn't have the courage to
be there for their last breath. I understand you because I have gone through
several similar situations throughout my life.

I also understand if you felt that no one, or very few people, understood your
pain. If in the places you went, including veterinary clinics or crematories,
you didn't feel fully supported. I understand if you didn't express your pain to
people for fear of being judged, since it was "just a dog, a cat, a parrot, or
an iguana." Then, they tell you to simply get another one.



That is why I am here. I don't want you to go through this journey alone. There
are people who have walked this path, have acquired tools, and have trained to
support others. We are here to offer you calm, active listening, and knowledge.
