EACH FARM SAFE COURSE IS DESIGNED TO HELP YOU OPERATE SAFELY AND EFFICIENTLY ON
THE FARM.

Developed by Agricenter International in accordance with the Occupational Safety
and Health Administration.

Each course takes about 20 minutes to complete. Work at your own pace. Progress
is saved as you go.

Courses are available in both English and Spanish.

COURSES


AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH & ESPAÑOL


ATV SAFETY

This module covers ATV safety basics such as pre-checks and preventing
distractions. We’ll also cover chemical handling and herding as well as safety
hazards such as rollovers and flips.


TRACTOR OPERATION SAFETY

This module covers topics such as tractor rollovers, runovers, collisions and
electrical hazards.


TRACTOR MAINTENANCE SAFETY

This module covers many of the hazards associated with the repair and
maintenance of tractors. Topics include shear/cut points, pinch points, wrap
points, hydraulic safety, stored energy and more.


GENERAL FARM AND RANCH SAFETY

This module covers basic topics such as helpful documents, the importance of
communication and being aware of the work area, condition of equipment and
environmental hazards.


GENERAL HARVEST SAFETY

This training module focuses on harvest safety, including topics such as hand
signals, entanglement hazards, choke ups, emergency planning, as well as other
general harvest safety topics.


HARVEST EQUIPMENT SAFETY: COMBINES

This training module covers harvest equipment safety, including maintenance and
repair safety, checklists, fire hazards, transportation and passenger safety and
other combine safety topics.


HARVEST EQUIPMENT - PICKER SAFETY:

This training module covers safety devices, ladder safety, preventing and
responding to fires, how to safely clean out choke ups and much more!


HARVEST EQUIPMENT - ATTACHMENT SAFETY:

This training module coverssafety devices, how to avoid crushing injuries,
matching power and load, hitch chains and pins, PTO hazards, where to hitch
safely, grain wagon safety, and much more!


HAY & SILAGE SAFETY

This module includes safe storage of hay bales, silage silo dangers,
pre-operative checks and maintenance safety, stability of balers, safety
precautions for PTO’s, augers and hydraulic systems, and much more!


MANUAL HARVESTING SAFETY

This module includes hand tool safety, heat stroke symptoms and first aid,
ergonomics issues such as proper lifting techniques and repetitive motion
disorders, chemical safety and much more!


HEAT STRESS

Even though Heat Stress is preventable, an average of 702 people succumb to
extreme heat every year. In this module, learn about stress factors, heat
disorders, and how to prevent and provide first aid for heat stress.


COLD STRESS

In this module you will learn about the contributing factors to cold stress such
as low temperatures and wind chill. Learn how to prevent and provide first aid
for hypothermia, frostbite, and trench foot.


BITES & STINGS

Farmers and ranchers are exposed to many types of biting and stinging insects,
spiders, snakes and scorpions. This Bites & Stings module discusses symptoms of
bites and stings from flying and other insects, spiders, snakes, and scorpions.
The module also gives the learner information regarding prevention of bites and
stings and first aid treatment.
