How is Product Spend calculated when used for add-on charges?

Product Spend is calculated based on AWS product spend at list, before the
application of any discounts, usage credits, add-on uplifts, or support fees.

Where can I find features for the Standard tier on AWS and Google Cloud?

Databricks has discontinued the Standard tier for new customers on AWS and
Google Cloud. Any existing customer that remains on the Standard tier on AWS and
Google Cloud will be automatically upgraded to the premium tier on Oct 1, 2025.

How does the DBU multiple for Lakehouse Monitoring work?

Imagine you're using Lakehouse Monitoring on AWS Premium in US East (Virginia).
The serverless job for Lakehouse Monitoring used 5 DBUs. To calculate your bill,
we double the DBUs consumed, making it 10 DBUs (2 x 5 DBUs). Your total cost for
usage will be $3.50, as each DBU costs $0.35.

How will charges for Managed Services be listed on my bill?

On AWS and GCP, Databricks managed services will be listed on your bill as “Jobs
Serverless Compute”
On Azure, Databricks managed services will be listed on your bill as “Automated
Serverless Compute”

How are charges computed for Databricks Managed services?

Databricks Managed Services run on serverless infrastructure. You will not incur
any additional cloud infrastructure charge from your cloud provider for the use
of these services. Databricks will automatically calculate and bill the number
of Jobs serverless DBUs associated with the use of these services. Managed
services may consume different DBUs based on the use case. Following is the DBU
consumption rate for Databricks Managed Services vs Databricks Jobs Serverless.

Customers using serverless products may incur data transfer costs when they move
data between different regions or availability zones within the same cloud, move
data out of a cloud, or require public or private connectivity from their VPCs.

DATA TRANSFER & CONNECTIVITY FAQ

When do I incur Databricks data transfer costs?

AWS and GCP customers may incur Databricks data transfer costs for data transfer
and connectivity associated with the usage of Databricks serverless products and
features. Azure customers will be charged directly by Azure for data transfer
and connectivity associated with serverless products and features in Azure
Databricks.

What is Databricks Public Connectivity and how is it charged?

Databricks Public Connectivity enables connecting to cloud resources or the
internet using public IPs. Customers will be charged for the volume of data
transferred through Databricks Public Connectivity.

What is Databricks Private Connectivity and how is it charged?

Databricks Private Connectivity allows customers to connect to cloud resources
without using a public IP. AWS and GCP customers that use Databricks Private
Connectivity with Serverless workloads will incur a per-hour charge for each
private endpoint and a per-GB charge for the volume of data transferred through
these endpoints. Azure customers that use Databricks Private Connectivity with
serverless workloads will incur a per-hour charge for each private endpoint.

Which serverless products will these costs apply to?

We plan on applying data transfer costs to all serverless products and features.
