We are excited to share with you news about some upcoming changes. As you might
remember, J.A. King became part of Cross Company in October of 2018. At that
time, it made the most sense to keep J.A. King as a separate brand because of
our long history of providing world-class customer service and technical
expertise to customers in our industry. We now believe that the time is right to
move from J.A. King to Cross Precision Measurement and we wanted to take some
time to explain to you, our customers, why we are making this change.
First, and foremost, we believe that we will be able to serve you better and
streamline your experience by changing our name officially to Cross Company.
Being able to do business with all of our groups under the same name should help
to eliminate some unnecessary challenges related to approvals, invoicing, and
purchase orders. The other four groups of Cross Company (Automation, Process
Solutions, Hose & Fittings, and Mobile Systems Integration) provide a range of
excellent products and services to help innovate the industrial world. We want
to make it as straightforward as possible for your company to take advantage of
the solutions we can provide beyond your measurement needs. Finally, we strive
to operate as one united company providing the best possible service and
solutions to our customers. We’ve found that often this involves multiple groups
within Cross working together on projects. For you, our customer, there doesn’t
need to be a distinction between a J.A. King or a Cross associate as we are all
working towards a common goal of providing you with excellent customer service.
So what does this change mean for you? As discussed above this should simply
make your life easier, particularly if you are already doing business with
multiple Cross groups. The changes you will experience as a customer will be
minimal, however, you will notice our team wearing Cross apparel and the logos
on our vehicles will change. You will see Cross Company on invoices and
certificates of calibration and traceability.
Below is a link to a completed W-9 form, for your records. It is likely
unchanged from the W9 you currently have on file for us. When making payments,
please use the remittance information contained below. We will be accepting
checks with remittance documentation at our lockbox facility. Additionally, you
may pay via ACH or wire.
