WELCOME TO UNCLE JERBEAR

STORY TELLER

First off- Why Uncle JerBear? I don’t recall the first time I was called
“JerBear”; But honestly, I have been called JerBear by many friends, and not
because they heard someone else refer to me that way. Bear just rhymes with Jer,
and it happens organically. I have enjoyed a very close relationship with my
nephew and over time I got to know many of his friends. My JerBear nickname
spread amongst these friends, and I was frequently introduced as Greg’s uncle,
JerBear. Eventually, it was condensed to Uncle JerBear. I love that my nieces
and nephews demonstrate respect by addressing me as “Uncle”. And I feel it is
with affection that so many others feel comfortable addressing me as Uncle
JerBear.

My Aunts and Uncles have always held a special place in my heart. I think they
are like parents, but “cooler”. They tend to recognize you as an adult before
your parents do and can often serve as a confidante or sounding board for
sharing things children are not yet ready to tell their parents.
This website will serve as a way for me to connect with my readers. In addition
to sharing news about my books, I will share short stories and poetry as well as
thoughts on a variety of subjects. I am also going to ask you to share with me
some of your thoughts, opinions, favorite things, and fondest memories.

This is all new to me, so I will need your help as I work to improve and refine
the site in the weeks and months to come.

I hope you dive into my first book, ‘What Child Is This’, a magical Christmas
adventure steeped in faith. And let me know what you think of it. What memories
did it bring to mind for you?

Thank you for stopping by,
Jerry, (aka Uncle Jerbear)
