Synopsis

CAREERLABS HAS A "CAREER TRACK" RECOMMENDATION ENGINE WHICH PROVIDES USERS WITH
SUITABLE COURSES AND CERTIFICATIONS FOR UPSKILLING.

New Delhi: CareerLabs, a "profile-building platform for college students and
working professionals", has secured $2.2 million in a pre-Series A funding round
led by Rocket Internet’s venture capital fund Global Founders Capital.

Among the angel investors who participated in the CareerLabs’ funding round are:

* Toshan Tamhane, chief digital officer at UPL
* Ajit Isaac, founder chairman of QuessCorp
* Rohit Kale, managing director at Spencer Stuart
* Ghanshyam Dass, former MD (Asia Pacific & Middle East), Nasdaq
* Abhishek Nag, director of business development (India & South Asia), Netflix

Founded in 2019 by PN Santosh, Krithika Srinivasan and Prasanna Alagesan,
CareerLabs has a "career track" recommendation engine which provides users with
suitable courses and certifications for upskilling. The company claims to
provide personalized mentoring and recruitment help as well.

"We are investing in building the right machine learning models with the focus
on identifying the right career tracks for students and incorporating right
engagement activities resulting in successful outcomes for students,” CEO
Santosh said, adding that the company aims to enable students to earn better.

“We are highly impressed by Santosh and the CareerLabs team and love their
passion to create a better end-to-end solution for career discovery, skilling
and recruitment,” said Roel, partner at Global Founders Capital. “We’re
convinced that they will have a significant impact on the lives of millions of
graduates in India in the years to come, and are proud to be part of their
journey.”
