There are several sources of energy. Most of these sources are used for
production of electricity. Traditionally, electricity is generated using fossil
fuels such as oil, gas, and coal. These fossil fuels are nonrenewable and
combustion emit carbon dioxide, which contributes to global warming and
environment degradation. In addition to these disadvantages, in a country like,
Pakistan, the cost of electricity and load-shedding due to the difference
between supply and demand are the major problems. In order to overcome these
problems, we as a nation should adopt the methods of energy conservation and
efficiency. Also we must increase the use of renewable energy. However, many
issues must be resolved in order to increase the usage of renewable energy
including the high cost of electricity generation using a renewable source,
quality, sustainability etc. At Al-Asr Renewable Energies, we are working
towards creating sustainable and economically viable energy systems that can
stand the test of time. Our mission is to educate/influence individuals,
families and government officials to integrate sustainable living methods into
our lives to benefit mankind and to save the environment. Our focus is on use of
renewable energies and other technologies and practices relating to sustainable
