Air Swimmers swim through the air with incredibly smooth and life-like motion.
These amazing fish provide hours of remote control indoor fun in even the
smallest of rooms (not for outdoor use). They require only four AAA batteries
(one in the body, three in the controller) and have complete up, down and 360
degree turning control. Simply fill your Air Swimmers with helium inexpensively
at any party store, florist shop, or grocery store that carries balloons.
The body is made from a high quality, durable nylon material that will stay
inflated for weeks. You can fill it again and again. Remote control has never
come to life so magically. Please note: Helium is not supplied. The most
original and possibly craziest Remote-Controlled product ever made. The giant
sized flying fish is easy to control in the tightest of spaces using the remote
control.
The remote control also moves the fish up and down in the air by moving the
feeder fish forward (fish goes down) and backwards (so the fish flies higher).
In this way the fish can even go up and down your stairs! The RC range is
approximately fifty feet. This fish needs to be filled with Helium before it
will fly. Helium is available at most florists and all retail stores that sell
Helium party balloons. You can either take the fish and get it filled up locally
or buy a Helium canister to fill up the fish for use again and again. Apart from
the Helium the fish is ready to fly straight out of the box, with all batteries
included. So, get some Helium and you will be flying around your giant fish in
minutes.

Fantastic product! Tricky to assemble, I suggest an adult does everything as the
tape patches provided are easy to tear (I used sellotape as well for extra
strength). The controls are very straight forward, though the putty weight is
again difficult to use and requires some patience. The fish is great fun to fly
and is wonderfully surreal. The fish is noisier than might be expected, the tail
making mechanical sounds as it flaps.

Got the Angry bird version and it is brilliant, but the flight control mechanism
on this one is not as good. After a few hours and watching the youtube videos,
finally got it to imitate a dead fish, nose down or...well...nose down. several
weeks and several helpful visitors scratching heads and it is still imitating a
dead fish! :o(

As I said in the title, provided that you have a large enough space to play with
this, and you've watched the assembly instruction video beforehand, this is a
fun toy.
The instructions given with the fish aren't the easiest to follow (hence the
loss of a star), and two pairs of hands are necessary at times. If you give this
to a child, expect to spend around half an hour putting it together.
Once assembled, it is quite easy to fly once you have the knack of flapping the
fish's tail.

I bought one of these for a birthday present with the intention of bringing it
to a large function room I was holding my Husband's b'day party in. On the day
of his b'day I gave it to him as a challenge to put it together. He found the
instructions on YouTube the easiest to follow. It still took about 45 minutes
with someone there to help when necessary. We filled it with helium that I had
bought from the local supermarket, a bottle is about £18* and the fish takes
approx half the bottle.Balancing the fish was probably the most time consuming
and trickiest part of the construction. Once all together everyone had great fun
floating it around the home. At the party the following night approx. 120
children from 3 years up to 50 took it in turns to play with it all night long,
it was played with non stop for 7 hours and survived to be taken home. After a
week I got fed up with how much room it takes up in the house so inserted a tube
to release the helium and have packed it away for another day. The tape that
holds the controls on the fish do peel of on a regular basis but they are easy
enough to just press back on. Our fish has had some seriously heavy use but was
well worth it!

I ordered the fish and the shark.
One bottle of helium (enough for 30 x 9inch balloons) was not enough to fill
both.
Batteries were not provided for the remote. The fish had re-chargeable batteries
in them that charged from the 2xAA batteries in each remote, which I had to
provide myself.
Unbelievably the remote for both the fish and the shark that I received, work on
the same frequency, so you can't fly both at the same time, IE chasing each
other around!!!!
The tail didn't seem to work very well at all, so there was no forward movement
(not even on the auto function)
Overall very disappointed. Gave one as a present to my nephew and gave his
brother money to buy himself something for Christmas.

This toy is a great idea but it isn't well enough designed or built for it to
work.
We saw this on a youtube video and it looked amazing so decided to buy it
without properly reading the reviews... Big mistake.
It was for sale at a vastly reduced price so we thought it was worth a punt....
however, we didn't factor in the additional cost of the helium.... £35!
It's a kit toy and it takes ages to put together. All the fins and mechanics
have to be stuck on very precisely or else the whole thing is off balance. It
doesn't help that you have to inflate the item first before you do this so you
have to wrangle a giant helium balloon while trying to position the various bits
and stick them on. One part was missing - a foam separator disc and we had to
find something to replace it with (a polystyrene pizza base). Once it is
assembled you have to balance the fish with putty ballast. This proved almost
impossible to do and the fish didn't float at the right angle. We think this may
have been due to the altitude calculation you have to do... you can check your
altitude online but it's not precise enough. With hindsight, we should've stuck
the motor closer to the front of the fish.
Once the fish was fully assembled, it was fun for a while. It didn't float at
quite the right angle and was tricky to steer... the more you use it the higher
it goes so you have to master the rhythm of it... but eventually we got the hang
of it and played with it for a bit. However, a few hours later we wanted another
go and a couple of bits of tape had come off. Thinking it was our fault, we
pushed them on again more firmly and off we flew again. Next morning, every bit
of tape had fallen off and would only hold again for a few minutes. Now we have
a very expensive finless, tailless Nemo floating up at our play room ceiling.
Complained to Amazon and got a full refund, without having to return the item.
