Elenteny Sr. Dale was Vice President of Manufacturing and Technology at PICO for over 26 years, retiring in 2019. He was an invaluable member of the PICO team, contributing and leading in immeasurable ways, taking satisfaction in work done right and people treated well. He was instrumental in the monumental relocation efforts in the early 1990’s to our current location in Chicago Heights. He was key in such things as the design of the plant layout and flow; functionality of the production tanks and reactors; establishing bulk raw material and finished good storage; creation of the laboratory facilities; and much more. Equally impressive, he was an innovative formulator and brilliant problem solver, each performed with a loyal dedication. If you knew Dale, he would quickly be deflecting credit for any of these things, but we know much better. In his unique way, he connected with people, and made the world a better place. Most importantly, he was a devoted family man – husband, father, son, Papa, great Papa, brother and uncle. Our sorrow is lessened only slightly with the comforting thought that we had the privilege to know him. Godspeed, good friend.
