What is the recommended maintenance for the air purifier and the filters?

 * Vacuum the outside of the air purifier regularly, especially the air inlets
   and outlets.
 * Clean the pre-filters according to the instructions in the user manual (not
   all models have a pre-filters).
 * Vacuum the inlet of the air quality sensor (not all models have an air
   quality sensor).
 * When the filter change warning appears on the air purifier and in the app,
   replace the filter with a new Blueair filter.

Can Blueair air purifiers reduce gas and VOC concentrations in a room?

Air purifiers equipped with a filter that includes activated carbon are the most

All Blueair Air Purifiers use our HEPASilent air purification technology so
they're all purifying air the same way. The main differences between models are:
 1. Square Footage: Our air purifiers are designed to handle a range of room
    sizes.
 2. Construction material: Some of our units are made of mostly plastic while
    others are made of galvanized steel.
 3. Additional features: Some units have additional features such as Wi-Fi
    connectivity and automatic fan adjustment and wheels while others do not.

Why do tVOC levels increase at night in my bedroom?

It is common to see higher levels of tVOCs in bedrooms or generally in any room
with human presence. The reason is that the human body produces different gasses
and VOCs, such as nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and methane. Those
"human-made" gases cannot all be removed by air purifiers. Simply ventilate the
room regularly to let in fresh air and remove those gasses.
