SOCIOLOGY

Our growing Sociology list has a global outlook featuring high-quality research
across emerging and established areas in the field, such as migration, gender,
race and ethnicity, public sociology, and children and families.

Our series include the bestselling 21st Century Standpoints in collaboration
with the British Sociological Association, and the Agendas for Social
Justice published with the Society for the Study of Social Problems. We are also
publishing leading journals in the field, including Emotions and
Society and Consumption and Society in association with the European
Sociological Association (ESA). You can browse the full list of our exciting
series and journals below.

We are actively seeking passionate, enthusiastic academics and professionals
undertaking unique research who are looking to make an impact with their
publications. In particular we aim to publish work that grapples with the global
social challenges of our time on topics such as:

 * Mobilities and movement
 * Poverty, inequality and social justice
 * Equality, diversity and inclusion
 * The future of work
 * Culture and society

If you are interested in writing for us, please see the Commissioning Editor

MEET THE TEAM

EMILY ROSS, COMMISSIONING EDITOR

I joined Bristol University Press after 14 years working in various editorial
roles at Routledge. After spending my whole career at a large commercial press,
I was drawn to working for a smaller university press, and in particular one
which places such high emphasis on responding to the global social challenges of
our time. I love the whole process of publishing a new book, and feel privileged
to be involved throughout, seeing our ideas and collaborations with authors take
shape from initial conception right through to final book publication. I am
excited to be managing such a well-regarded list at Bristol University Press,
and look forward to playing a part in further growing and developing our
Sociology publishing in the future.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal to our Sociology list, please
contact me at emily.ross@bristol.ac.uk and visit our information for authors
page to download our proposal guidelines.

We are a leading social science publisher committed to making a difference.
