We are on a mission to make superior trading products with efficient execution available to anyone. eruSwap is a decentralized exchange (DEX) built for self-made traders in emerging markets, not hedge funds or whales. eruSwap is designed to have the lowest per-transaction costs for smaller trades on the most popular crypto-assets. This is accomplished through a novel architecture and a series of design tradeoffs that sacrifice price competitiveness on large trades for better prices for smaller trades. Eru is a soup from Cameroon. It is a specialty of the Bayangi people, of the Manyu region in southwestern Cameroon. It is vegetable soup made up of finely shredded leaves of the eru or okok. The eru is stewed with waterleaf or spinach, palm oil, crayfish, and either smoked fish, cow skin (kanda) or beef. Eru is a wild plant that is harvested from the forest in Cameroon. In Nigeria, it is called Ukazi or Afang. Natives of Cross Rivers State use it to prepare the famous Afang soup. Afang soup has a striking similarity to Eru but it is more "soupy' and the Eru is ground or pounded prior to preparation. Another soup that really looks like Eru is the Edika Ikong, also prepared by the Calabar people of Cross Rivers State in Nigeria. It looks almost like Eru. Permit me to say that Eru is the grandmother of Afang! This dish is traditionally eaten with fermented water-fufu or garri. Welcome to eruSwap 👋 This is the official documentation for eruSwap, a cross-chain decentralized exchange, based on a unique cross-chain OMM design based on Clipper's FMM to offer users a maximally efficient and low friction method to trade digital assets, fiat to digital assets, and vice-versa in a totally decentralized system. We at eruSwap have a vision of becoming one of the key solutions to the complexity & non-triviality of swapping between L1 crypto assets. We view the following attributes & metrics as important to achieving that goal: Generalized Cross-Chain Capability: Provide users with a permissionless method to swap assets between arbitrary chains and networks (L1, L2, etc) without introducing new wrapped assets, liquidity fragmentation, leaving users with tail risk, or excessive confirmation times. Seamless fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat: Provide users with a permissionless method to swap digital assets between fiat and blockchain networks instantly and without friction using their mobile payment wallets, onboarding 1.35 billion mobile wallet users to DeFi. The exponential growth adoption of digital assets and DeFi will pass through its integration with mobile payment networks. Decentralization: Maintain credible decentralization, audited open-source software, and transparent network operation from the very beginning. Useful Product: Offer extremely accurate pricing and zero slippage to make the protocol competitive, in addition to focusing on the user experience and providing value to end-users. Composability: Engineer the protocol such that it can be easily utilized by wallets, aggregators, and other products to bring their users greater functionality, who in turn become users of the protocol by proxy. Sustained Value Capture: The protocol should be self-sustaining if enough users want to use the product without artificial incentives. The protocol should feed value from fees into the ERU token itself to distribute it to token holders and offset any incentives offered.
