The 57th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000 race was an amazing display of
persistence for finishers and great losses for those who could not continue. The
Baja desert handed out a spanking to competitors, allowing less than half to
finish the race. But those that persevered came home with big wins to finish off

At the finish of the BFGoodrich Tires 57th SCORE Baja 1000, Luke McMillin was
presented with a BFGoodrich Tire’s check for $20K for winning the race Overall
while running on BFGoodrich Tires. The company continues to support SCORE Baja
racers with large Contingency Awards to racers running on their tires, and to

METHOD RACE WHEEL QUALIFIER | DECEMBER 2024 ISSUE
Teaming up with Bryce Menzies in the No. 1 Red Bull Ford Raptor SCORE Trophy
Truck, Christopher Polvoorde took the wheel and had the fastest time during the
Method Race Wheels qualifier to start first at the BFGoodrich Tires 57th SCORE
Baja 1000. Held at the Nelson Ranch in the Piedras Gordas ejido, the four-mile
course started smooth, but later, racers reported it was chopped up and

ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico—‘Celebrating 51 Years of SCORE Desert Racing
Excellence’, online voting has begun for the 2024 SCORE Off-Roadsman of the Year
Awards and will continue until 6 p.m. (PT) on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, officials
of the SCORE World Desert Championship announced today.
Having completed 51 years as the World’s Foremost Desert Racing
Organization, SCORE International has eight annual SCORE Off-Roadsman Award
winners selected by online voting on the home page of theSCORE website

NOTE: Maximum of three votes per day, per IP address, for the 2024 SCORE
Off-Roadsman of the Year voting.
Individuals as well as manufacturers and organizations are honored through
eight distinct SCORE Off-Roadsman of the Year Awards, whose winners are decided
by several thousand SCORE fans through online voting including the entire SCORE
membership of nearly 3,000. Among the awards to be presented are SCORE Rookie of
the year, SCORE Contingency Company of the year, SCORE Pit Support Team of the
year, SCORE Mechanic of the year and SCORE Team Manager of the year.
Five additional SCORE Off-Roadsman categories, including Original Chassis
Builder of the Year and Engine Builder of the Year are determined by a special
points system. The SCORE Person of the Year Award is selected by a SCORE
committee as is the SCORE Legacy Award.
Winners of the public voting and all other award winners will be honored on
Saturday, Jan. 18 during the SCORE Awards Gala to be held in the historic San
Diego Air & Space Museum at Balboa Park to celebrate the 2024 SCORE World Desert
Championship and the more than five decades of SCORE International.
This is the 14th season that SCORE has used open online voting to determine
the award winners. Prior to that, the winners were selected by way of a vote
conducted solely with SCORE members.

AWESOME AWARDS
In addition to the special SCORE Achievement Awards and the Pro and
Sportsman classes that qualified racers for class season championships, the four
overall point champions will again be recognized.
Another element of the diverse program for the evening will be the
presentation of the 2024 Rod Hall SCORE Milestone Awards, presented by Toyota
Escondido. As it has for 39 years, the coveted Rod Hall SCORE Milestone Awards
are presented to those racers who finish every required mile as official
finishers of the 2024 SCORE World Desert Championship. A total of a record 58
racers completed all 2057.75 required miles in the four-race 2024 SCORE World
Desert Championship.
Also, part of the evening will be the presentation of the SCORE Person of
the Year Award which is selected by SCORE in consultation with several industry
professionals and racers.
The prestigious event will also include a colorful video/photographic
tributes to the class champions of 2024 SCORE World Desert Championship produced
by BCII TV, SCORE Live and GetSomePhoto.
Popular SCORE live announcer Rat Sult, who completed his ninth year with
SCORE in 2024, returns as the primary host of the 2024 SCORE Awards Night Gala.

años de Excelencia Desértica de SCORE, se abrieron las votaciones para los
Premios SCORE 2024 a lo mejor de la temporada, proceso que finalizará hasta el
jueves 2 de enero de 2025 a las 6 de la tarde, tiempo del Pacífico, tras lo
anunciado hoy por directivos del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto.
Completando 51 años de emociones en la organización más importante de
Off-Road a nivel mundial, SCORE International cuenta con 8 categorías anuales en
los Premios SCORE, con los ganadores siendo elegidos mediante una votación por
internet en la página oficial de
SCORE, http://score-international.com/offroadsmanawards.php
NOTA: Un máximo de 3 votos por día es lo permitido por la dirección IP,
dentro de los Premios SCORE 2024 a lo mejor del año.
También se entregarán premios a empresas fabricadoras de carros de

PREMIOS DE ENSUEÑO
Durante los Premios SCORE se entregarán los campeonatos a los ganadores de
las categorías profesionales y Sportsman en este 2024, así como los 4 monarcas
en forma overall.
Otro atractivo del programa de la Gala de SCORE será la presentación de los
ganadores del Premio Rod Hall SCORE 2024, presentado por la empresa Toyota de
Escondido. Ya son 39 años de entregar los prestigiados galardones a los
corredores que completaron todas las millas del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto
2024 de SCORE. Una cifra de 58 competidores cubrió la distancia total de 2 mil
57.75 millas que le dieron forma a las 4 fechas de esta temporada.
También, como parte de la velada, se realizará la entrega del premio de
Persona del Año de SCORE, que es elegido por SCORE, de la mano de la opinión de
diferentes corredores y personas relacionadas a la empresa del Off-Road.
El prestigiado evento contará con la presentación de un video exclusivo,
mismo que contará con fotografías de los mejores momentos del Campeonato Mundial
del Desierto 2024 de SCORE, mismo que fue producido por la empresa BCII TV, el
show SCORE LIBRE y GetSome Photo.
Rat Sult, la voz oficial de SCORE, quien está en su novena temporada con
SCORE, será el conductor de los Premios SCORE 2024.

ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico—‘Celebrating 51 Years of SCORE Desert
Racing’, five industry leaders captured their respective SCORE Manufacturer
Point Standings in the four-race 2024 SCORE World Desert Championship.
Capturing the titles in their respective divisions in the 2024 SCORE
Manufacturer point standings are Mason Motorsports, Dougans Racing Engines,
Can-Am Off-Road, Alumi Craft Race Cars, and Honda Motorcycles, names all very
prominent in the international world of desert racing.
The four-race 2024 SCORE World Desert Championship was held exclusively in
Baja California, Mexico for the ninth consecutive season. The five companies
will be among many awards and honors presented at the 2024 SCORE Awards Gala to
be held Saturday, Jan. 18 at San Diego’s historic Air & Space Museum located at
the popular Balboa Park.
The colorful event will be honoring not only the 2024 SCORE World Desert
Championship but also the first 51 years of the World’s Foremost Desert Racing
Organization.
The 2024 season opener was the King Shocks 37th SCORE San Felipe 250, on
March 20-24 in San Felipe, Baja California, Round 2 was the BFGoodrich Tires
56th SCORE Baja 500, on May 29-June 2 in Ensenada, Baja California, Round 3
Sept. 11-15 in Ensenada was the 5th SCORE Baja 400, presented by VP Racing, and
Round 4 Nov. 12-17 in Ensenada, was the BFGoodrich Tires 57th SCORE Baja 1000.
HOW THE POINTS ARE DETERMINED
SCORE calculates Manufacturer points on a modified version of the formula
used for individual racers. For manufacturer points, podium finishers, who have
identified their manufacturer on their entry form, receive manufacturer points
based on the number of starters within each class in the specific class.
MASON MOTORSPORTS—SCORE ORIGINAL TRUCK CHASSIS MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR
Mason Motorsports of Lake Elsinore, Calif. has rapidly ascended to the top
tier in the desert racing world, building all-wheel drive SCORE Trophy Trucks
among many other classes of vehicles to capture the 2024 SCORE Original Truck
Chassis Manufacturer of the Year 2024 with 472 total points.
Mason Motorsports has won four consecutive season point titles.
In 2021, it was their first SCORE Original Truck Chassis Manufacturer of
the Year award after a six-year run by Geiser Brothers since voting started in
this category in 2015.
Founded in 2004 by brothers Neal and Robert Mason, Mason Motorsports is
producing some amazing AWD trucks.
Leading the way for Mason in 2024 was SCORE San Felipe 250 overall winner
Alan Ampudia, 33, Ensenada, Mexico, who won the 2024 SCORE Trophy Truck season
point championship. A second-generation SCORE champion racer, Ampudia was also
second in the SCORE Baja 400, third in the SCORE Baja 1000, and 10th in the
SCORE Baja 500 to earn his first SCORE season point crown.
Gustavo Vildosola Sr, Mexicali, Mexico in the SCORE TT Legend division for
SCORE Trophy Truck drivers over 50 years old, won his class in all four races
this season and 12 straight over the last three seasons with a Mason truck.
Mason Motorsports picked up additional points in San Felipe in SCORE Trophy
Truck. Placing behind where San Diego’s Luke McMillin was second and third was
Mexico’s Gustavo Vildosola Jr, 42, Mexicali. In the SCORE Baja 500, Mason
claimed all three podium spots in SCORE Trophy Truck with Australia’s Toby Price
winning, Mexico’s Gustavo Vildosola Jr, Mexicali, second, and Christopher
Polvoorde, Hemet, Calif., in third place. Las Vegas’ Bryce Menzies won the SCORE
Baja 400 for the fourth consecutive year driving a Mason AWD truck, Ampudia was
second and Price was third.
Mason Motorsports also swept the podium in the season-ending SCORE Baja
1000 with the team of Luke McMillin and Las Vegas’ Rob MacCachren first,
Vildosola Jr in second place, and Ampudia in third place.
Overall, Mason Motorsports had 17 podium finishers, including all three in
SCORE Trophy Truck in each of the four races during the 2024 SCORE World Desert
Championship.
DOUGANS—SCORE ENGINE BUILDER OF THE YEAR
Earning their eighth SCORE Engine Builder of the Year point championship in
2024, Dougans Racing Engines also won the points in this award category for the
eighth time in the last 10 years.
Based in Riverside, Calif., Ray Field’s Dougans Racing Engines where Field
has been a part of Dougans since 1980.
Among the racers using Dougans engines that have helped secure the point
crown in the 2024 SCORE World Desert Championship were Mexico’s Alan Ampudia in
SCORE Trophy Truck, Mexico’s Gus Vildosola Sr in the SCORE TT Legend class, Las
Vegas’ Thor Herbst in Trophy Truck Spec. All three drivers won their respective
class point championships—Vildosola Sr won all four races, while Ampudia had
three podium finishes including a win in the SCORE San Felipe 250, and Herbst

CAN-AM—SCORE UTV MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR
Sweeping the podium in both the Pro UTV FI (Forced Induction) and the Pro
UTV Stock classes in all four races in 2024, Canada’s Can-Am Off-Road captured
the 2024 SCORE UTV Manufacturer point title for the first time in the 2024 SCORE
World Desert Championship,
A subsidiary of Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP), based in Valcourt,
Quebec, Canada, Can-Am has a SCORE-high 568 total placement points in 2024.
Kaden Wells, Hurricane, Utah (Pro UTV Stock) dominated his class in 2024,
winning all four races. Phil Blurton, Auburn, Calif. (Pro UTV FI) won the three
races in his class to contribute significantly to the Can-Am total and Erick
Kozin who won the Pro UTV FI class point title with three podium finishes
including the class win in the SCORE Baja 400.
The Can-Am Off-Road champion was the manufacturer’s point title after
Polaris won the points for nine consecutive years since the voting began in the
UTV category in 2015.
ALUMI CRAFT—SCORE ORIGINAL OPEN-WHEEL CHASSIS MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR
Based in Santee, Calif., Alumi Craft won the Open Wheel Chassis
Manufacturer of the Year point championship for the sixth time in 2024, all in
the last nine years.
Founded in 2004, an increasing number of Alumi Craft vehicles continue to
appear on SCORE race entry lists.
With 243 total points after the four SCORE races in 2024, Alumi Craft swept
the podium in Class 10 in San Felipe, secured first and third in Class 10 in
both the SCORE Baja 500 and the SCORE Baja 400. Alumi Craft, and swept the
podium in the season-ending SCORE Baja 1000.
Driving in an Alumi Craft chassis, Cody Reid, Apple Valley, Calif.,
captured the season point championship in Class 1 with victories in the SCORE
Baja 500, and SCORE Baja 1000, and a second in the SCORE San Felipe 250.
Alumi Craft open-wheel race cars swept the Class 10 podium in the SCORE San
Felipe 250 and the SCORE Baja 1000, while collecting more points by winning two
podium spots each in the SCORE Baja 500 and the SCORE Baja 400.
Adding to the Alumi Craft point total this year were Bruce Yee, Rosarito
Beach, Mexico, won Class 10 in San Felipe and the SCORE Baja 400 while Francisco
Vera, El Rosario, Mexico, won Class 10 in the SCORE Baja 500 in another Alumi
Craft vehicle and Matias Arjona IV, Ensenada, Mexico, won Class 10 in the SCORE
Baja 1000.
HONDA—SCORE MOTORCYCLE MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR
A perennial powerhouse in SCORE Baja motorcycle racing, for the 30th time,
Honda captured the Motorcycle Manufacturer Point Standings with 559 total podium
points.
With no fully-supported factory teams currently part of SCORE Motorcycle
racing, Honda has been a desert racing standard for over 40 years in SCORE Baja
racing as the winningest motorcycle manufacturer of all time in SCORE history.
After the four race races in the 2024 SCORE World Desert Championship,
Honda motorcycles had 17 class wins and had a total of 39 podium finishes.
Leading the way for Honda was the team led by Arturo Salas Jr, 21, Chula
Vista, Calif. (Tecate, Mexico) who was the Pro Moto Unlimited class point on his
No. 11x Honda CRF450X winning in both SCORE San Felipe 250 and the SCORE Baja
500. He also finished second in both the SCORE Baja 400 and the SCORE Baja 100.
His co-rider for both races for all four races was Carter Klein, 19, Agua
Dulce, Calif., and his third rider for the SCORE Baja 500 and the SCORE Baja
1000 was Ciaran Naran, 23, Huntington Beach, Calif. Salas Jr.
Also winning the Pro Moto Unlimited class in the SCORE Baja 400 and SCORE
Baja 1000 was SCORE veteran champion Justin Morgan, 34, El Cajon, Calif., and
his team added to the Honda point total in 2024.
All 17 Honda class race winners this season rode the iconic Honda CRF450X
motorcycle.

Cuatro carreras se realizaron en Baja California
Se llevaron Mason, Dougans, Can-Am, Alumi Craft y Honda, el título de puntos del
Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2024 de SCORE
Los ganadores de estos premios serán galardonados el próximo sábado 18 de enero
en la Gala de SCORE 2024, misma que se realizará en el Museo del Aire y el
Espacio del Parque Balboa en San Diego, California
ENSENADA, Baja California, México- Continuando con las celebraciones de los 51
años de Excelencia Desértica de SCORE, 5 empresas líder en su ramo, capturaron
el Campeonato de SCORE en puntos de empresas fabricadoras de carros de Off-Road,
tras la finalización de las 4 fechas del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2024 de
SCORE.
Las empresas que capturaron sus respectivos títulos en sus categorías
dentro del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2024 de SCORE, están Mason
Motorsports, Motores Dougan, Can-Am Off-Road, los buggys Alumi Craft y las
motocicletas Honda, nombres de mucho peso dentro del panorama internacional de
las carreras fuera de camino.
Por noveno año en fila se celebraron todas las fechas del Campeonato
Mundial del Desierto de SCORE en Baja California, esto en forma exclusiva. Las 5
compañías recibirán sus trofeos en la Gala de SCORE 2024, misma que se realizará
el sábado 18 de enero en el histórico Museo del Aire y el Espacio, que se
encuentra ubicado en el Parque Balboa de San Diego, California.
El tan esperado evento Deportivo no solamente servirá para honrar a los
monarcas del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2024 de SCORE, también será el
marco ideal para festejar los primeros 51 años de existencia de la empresa de
Off-Road más importante a nivel mundial.
La temporada 2024 comenzó con la edición 37 de la King Shocks SCORE San
Felipe 250, carrera que se realizó del 20 al 24 de marzo en San Felipe, Baja
California, México; la Segunda fecha fue la edición 56 de la BFGoodrich Tires
SCORE Baja 500, que se llevó a cabo del 29 de mayo al 2 de junio en Ensenada,
Baja California, México; la tercera carrera del calendario fue la edición 5 de
la SCORE Baja 400, presentada por VP Racing, misma que se efectuó del 11 al 15
de septiembre en Ensenada, Baja California, México, y la última fecha, fue la
legendaria edición 57 de la BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000, con fecha del 12
al 17 de noviembre, también celebrada en “La Bella Cenicienta del Pacífico”.
CÓMO SE DETERMINAN LOS PUNTOS DEL CAMPEONATO
SCORE determina el conteo de puntos, con una versión modificada del sistema
de campeonato de pilotos. Para empresas fabricadoras, los finalistas de podio
son identificados en su registro de corredor, con lo que reciben puntos, de
acuerdo al número de pilotos que arrancaron cada carrera en su respectiva
categoría.
MASON MOTORSPORTS—GANADOR DEL PREMIO DEL AÑO DE SCORE COMO FABRICADOR DE TRUCKS
La empresa Mason Motorsports de Lake Elsinore, California, ha ido
ascendiendo en forma veloz hacia la cima del Off-Road, al darle vida a los
espectaculares SCORE Trophy Trucks de doble tracción, al igual que vehículos en
otras categorías, por lo que ganó el Premio SCORE 2024 a Fabricador de Trucks
con un total de 472 unidades.
Mason Motorsports como empresa, ha ganado esta categoría en los últimos 4
años, esto en forma consecutiva.
En 2021, lograron su primer Premio de Score como Fabricador de Trucks,
acabando con una racha de 6 años en fila dentro de esta categoría, por parte de
la empresa Geiser Brothers, galardón que se ha votado entre corredores, equipos
de competencia, aficionados y medios de comunicación desde 2015.
Esta compañía fue fundada en 2024, por los Hermanos Mason, Neal y Robert,
convirtiéndose ahora en los fabricadores por excelencia de Trucks con doble
tracción.
Guiando el camino en este 2024 hacia la bandera a cuadros, es el
ensenadense Alan Ampudia, de 33 años de edad, quien ganó la SCORE San Felipe 250
en forma overall, así como el campeonato dentro de los SCORE Trophy Trucks.
Alan, quien es hijo de Rodrigo Ampudia Señor, otro gran corredor de SCORE, logró
un segundo lugar en la SCORE Baja 400, fue tercero en la SCORE Baja 1000, y
cerró en el décimo sitio dentro de la SCORE Baja 500 para quedarse con su primer
campeonato de SCORE como piloto de puntos.
El mexicalense Gustavo Vildósola Señor, ganó nuevamente las 4 fechas de la
clase SCORE Trophy Trucks Legend, categoría que es para corredores de 50 años o
más, extendiendo su fabulosa racha de triunfos en fila a 12, a bordo de un Truck
Mason.
La compañía Mason Motorsports sumó puntos adicionales en San Felipe dentro
de “Los Monstruos del Desierto”, gracias al segundo lugar de Luke McMillin y el
tercero conseguido por Gustavo “Tavo” Vildósola Junior. En la SCORE Baja 500,
Mason consiguió el podio, gracias al triunfo del australiano Toby Price, el
segundo sitio de “Tavo” Vildósola y el tercer lugar de Christopher Polvoorde, de
Hemet, California. Ya en la SCORE Baja 400, Bryce Menzies, de Las Vegas, Nevada,
ganó la carrera por cuarto año en fila, a bordo de un Truck Mason de doble
tracción, Ampudia fue segundo y la leyenda viviente del Rally Dakar, Price,
cerró en la tercera posición.
Mason Motorsports también “barrio” en la SCORE Baja 1000, con la dupla de
Luke McMillin y Rob MacCachren, quienes ganaron la legendaria competencia fuera
de camino, Vildósola Junior concluyó en el segundo puesto, y Ampudia completó el
podio en la tercera posición.
En total, la empresa Mason Motorsports consiguió 17 podios, sumado a los 4
cosechados dentro de los SCORE Trophy Trucks en las 4 fechas del Campeonato
Mundial del Desierto 2024 de SCORE.
DOUGANS—GANADOR DEL PREMIO DEL AÑO DE SCORE COMO FABRICADOR DE MOTORES
Capturando su octavo Premio de SCORE como Fabricador de Motores en fila,
aparece la compañía Dougans Racing Engines, quien consiguió el galardón por
octava ocasión en los últimos 10 años.
Su sede se encuentra en Riverside, California, de la mano de Ray Field,
quien es parte de la empresa desde el lejano año de 1980.
Los corredores que contaron con motores Dougan para coronarse en el
Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2024 de SCORE, aparecen el mexicano Alan Ampudia
en los SCORE Trophy Trucks, el también azteca Gustavo Vildósola Señor en los
SCORE Trophy Trucks Legend, y el nuevo monarca de la clase Trophy Truck Spec,
Thor Herbst, de Las Vegas, Nevada. Los 3 pilotos se coronaron en sus respectivas
categorías, con Vildósola Señor ganando todas las fechas del año, Ampudia logró
3 podios, incluido su éxito en la SCORE San Felipe 250, y Herbst logró un par de
podios, de la mano de su espectacular triunfo en la SCORE Baja 1000.
Motores Dougans sumó un total de 372 puntos en este 2024, en ruta directa
hacia el Premio SCORE.
CAN-AM—GANADOR DEL PREMIO DEL AÑO DE SCORE COMO FABRICADOR DE UTV´S
Consumando una “barrida” de podios en la clase Pro UTV FI, al igual, que en
la clase Pro UTV Stock, dentro de las 4 fechas de este 2024, la empresa de
Canadá, Can-Am Off-Road, logró el Premio del Año de SCORE como Fabricador de
UTV´s por primera vez en su historia.
Una división de la empresa Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP), con su
sede en Valcourt, Quebec, Canadá, Can-Am logró una cifra impresionante de 568
puntos a lo largo de esta temporada.

ALUMI CRAFT—GANADOR DEL PREMIO DEL AÑO DE SCORE COMO FABRICADOR DE BUGGYS
Contando con su sede en Santee, California, la empresa Alumi Craft ganó el
Premio SCORE 2024 como Fabricador de Buggys por sexta ocasión dentro de las
últimas 9 temporadas.
Fundada en 2004, cada día se ven más buggys de la marca Alumi Craft dentro
de la lista de inscritos en las carreras organizadas por SCORE.
Con un total de 243 puntos tras las 4 fechas de SCORE en este año, Alumi
Craft sacó la “escoba” dentro de la Clase 10 en San Felipe, sumado a un triunfo
y tercer sitio en la SCORE Baja 500, también en la Clase 10, además de la SCORE
Baja 400, y para finalizar, “barrieron” el podio en la SCORE Baja 1000.
Manejando un buggy Alumi Craft, Cody Reid, de Apple Valley, California,
alzó la corona en la Clase 1, con triunfos en la SCORE Baja 500 y la SCORE Baja
1000, además de un segundo sitio en la SCORE San Felipe 250.
La compañía Alumi Craft “barrió” el podio de la Clase 10 en la SCORE San
Felipe 250 y la SCORE Baja 1000, sumando más puntos con 4 podios logrados en la
SCORE Baja 500 y la SCORE Baja 400, fueron 2 por cada una de esas carreras.
Alguien que le dio muchos puntos a la empresa Alumi Craft para poder
coronarse en este 2024, fue el mexicano Bruce Yee, quien se impuso en San Felipe
y la SCORE Baja 400 dentro de la Clase 10, sumado al éxito de la SCORE Baja 500
en la misma categoría, por parte de Francisco Vera, de El Rosario, Baja
California, México, y cerrando con el éxito de Matías Arjona IV en la SCORE Baja
1000, también en la 10.
HONDA—GANADOR DEL PREMIO DEL AÑO DE SCORE COMO FABRICADOR DE MOTOCICLETAS
El gigante de las motocicletas en las carreras de SCORE, logró el Premio
SCORE 2024 de Fabricador de Motocicletas con 559 puntos, logro que ha alcanzado
en 30 ocasiones.
Sin contar con un equipo oficial con patrocinio completo en la actualidad,
Honda ha sido parte de las carreras fuera de camino por más de 40 años,
escribiendo historias de éxito increíbles en SCORE, como la motocicleta más
ganadora en la historia de la organización de Off-Road más importante a nivel
mundial.
Tras las 4 carreras del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2024 de SCORE, las
motocicletas Honda ganaron 17 clases diferentes, para sumar un total de 39
podios.
Encabezando el camino para Honda, apareció el tecatense de 21 años de edad,
Arturo Salas Junior, quien vive en Chula Vista, California, quien conquistó el
campeonato de la clase Pro Moto Unlimited a bordo de la motocicleta Número 11x
Honda CRF450X, ganando la SCORE San Felipe 250 y la SCORE Baja 500, sumado a un
par de segundos lugares en la SCORE Baja 400 y en la SCORE Baja 1000.
Su relevo en su motocicleta Honda fue Carter Klein, de Agua Dulce,
California, dentro de las 4 fechas del año, mientras Ciaran Naran, de Huntington
Beach, California, corrió con Salas y Klein en la SCORE Baja 500 y en la SCORE
Baja 1000
También ganando la SCORE Baja 400 y la SCORE Baja 1000 en la categoría Pro
Moto Unlimited, apareció el experimentado campeón de SCORE, Justin Morgan, de El
Cajón, California, quien sumó de la mano de su equipo, puntos importantes para
Honda en su camino hacia el Premio SCORE 2024.
Las 17 victorias de Honda en SCORE durante este 2024, se lograron a bordo
de una motocicleta Honda CRF450X, un modelo icónico de la marca japonesa.

ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico—Culminating the Celebration of 51 Years of
SCORE Desert Racing Excellence, online ticket sales are open for the 2024 SCORE
Awards Gala to be held in San Diego.
SCORE International will celebrate on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025 at the
popular San Diego Air & Space Museum at the historic Balboa Park as the event
will commemorate the 2024 SCORE World Desert Championship and the first 51 years
of the World’s Foremost Desert Racing Organization.
At the San Diego Air & Space Museum, over 500 SCORE racers, family,
friends, crews, sponsors, and media will bask in the sunny Southern California
spotlight as the SCORE Awards Gala will honor the history and fame of the name
which is the standard for desert racing worldwide while honoring the four-race
2024 SCORE World Desert Championship.
TASTY TICKETS
Being held in the Pavilion of Flight at the historic museum, tickets priced
at $89 per adult, a table for eight at $712, and children under 12 years old at
$69, are being sold online at

Ticket sales will close for the popular evening at 5 p.m. PT on Friday,
January 10, 2025. There will be no ticket sales at the door.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. PT for admission into the museum, followed by
a pre-awards reception at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and presentations starting at
7:30 p.m.
This will be the sixth time and third since 2020 that the annual SCORE
Awards Night gala will be held at the historic San Diego Air & Space Museum and
the 14th time the historic evening will be held in Southern California since
2000, when it was held at Joe’s Garage automotive museum in Tustin, Calif.
Because of the international health pandemic, the event was pre-recorded in both
the 2020 and 2021 seasons from videos submitted by the award winners.
The event celebrates the World’s Foremost Desert Racing Organization that
completed its 51st season in November at the BFGoodrich Tires 57th SCORE Baja
1000.
EARLY ENTRY
Guests at the event will be allowed to enter the museum at 5:30 p.m. to
view the numerous historical displays at the popular facility prior to the start
of the reception at 6 p.m.
AWESOME AWARDS
In addition to the special SCORE Achievement Awards and the Pro and
Sportsman classes that qualified racers for class season championships along
with five overall point champions who will be honored. Another highlight of the
evening will be the presentation of the eight annual SCORE Off-Roadsman of the
Year Awards.
Most of the awards for the SCORE Awards are being exclusively designed and
specially produced for the second time by Lasernut, a premiere custom metal
fabrication and laser cutting company based in Norco, Calif.
Individuals as well as manufacturers and organizations are honored through
eight distinct SCORE Off-Roadsman of the Year Awards, whose winners willbe
decided by several thousand SCORE fans through online voting including the
entire SCORE membership of more than 2,500. Among the awards to be presented are
SCORE Rookie of the Year, SCORE Contingency Company of the Year, SCORE Pit
Support Team of the Year, SCORE Mechanic of the Year and SCORE Person of the
Year.
MANUFACTURER POINT CHAMPS
The 2024 Manufacturer of the Year point champions to be honored as well
will be Original Open Wheel Chassis, Engine Builder, Original Truck Chassis, UTV
and Motorcycle.
SCORE MILESTONE AWARDS
Another element of the diverse program for the evening will be the
presentation of the 2024 Rod Hall SCORE Milestone Awards, presented by Toyota
Escondido. As it has for 39 years, the coveted SCORE Milestone Awards are
presented to those racers who finish every required mile of the 2024 SCORE World
Desert Championship. A SCORE-record total of 58 racers completed all 2057.75
required miles in the four-race 2024 SCORE World Desert Championship.
SPECIAL SCORE AWARDS
Also, part of the evening will be the presentation of the SCORE Legacy
Award and the SCORE Person of the Year Award.
TRIBUTE
The evening will include a colorful video/photographic tribute to the 2024
SCORE World Desert Championship and the first 51 Years of SCORE, produced by
BCII TV, SCORE Live and GetSomePhoto.

ENSENADA, Baja California, México-Finalizando las celebraciones de los 51 años
de Excelencia Desértica de SCORE, se realizará la Gala 2024 de SCORE en San
Diego, California, por lo que ya están a la venta los boletos para tan
importante ocasión.
SCORE International llevará a cabo el sábado 18 de enero de 2025 la
ceremonia de premiación del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2024 de SCORE,
evento que tendrá como sede el espectacular Museo del Aire y Espacio de San
Diego, mismo que está ubicado en el histórico Parque Balboa, con lo que seguirán
de esta manera los festejos de los 51 años de la organización más importante del
Off-Road a nivel mundial.
En el Museo del Aire y Espacio de San Diego, más de 500 personas estarán
reunidos en una gran fiesta, entre corredores, familiares de ellos, equipos de
competencia, patrocinadores y medios de comunicación se reunirán en el soleado
sur de California para honrar la historia y la fama del nombre que es la punta
de lanza de las carreras fuera de camino en el plano internacional, tras la
celebración de las 4 fechas del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2024 de SCORE.
BOLETOS DE LUJO
La Gala SCORE se realizará en el Pabellón de Vuelo del histórico museo, con
boletos a 89 dólares por persona (adultos), una mesa de 8 personas con un costo
de 712 dólares, y niños menores de 12 años, pagarán 69 dólares, con lo que solo

La venta de boletos para el popular evento finalizará el viernes 10 de
enero de 2025 a las 5 de la tarde, tiempo del Pacífico. No se contará con venta
de entradas en entrada de la Gala SCORE 2024.
A las 5:30 de la tarde, tiempo del Pacífico, abrirán las puertas del museo,
para posteriormente llevar a cabo una recepción a las 6 de la tarde, la comida
se servirá a las 7 de la tarde, y la presentación de los ganadores del
campeonato iniciará a las 7:30 de la tarde.
Esta será la sexta ocasión, y la tercera desde 2020 en que la Gala de SCORE
se realizará en el Museo del Aire y Espacio de San Diego, así como la ocasión
número 14 en que el histórico evento se realiza en el Sur de California desde el
2000, año en el que se llevó a cabo el evento deportivo en el museo Garage del
Auto de Joe en Tustin, California. Ante la pandemia mundial del Covid-19, el
evento fue grabado en 2020 y 2021, transmitiéndose por internet para revelar los
nombres de los ganadores de los premios.
El evento será el marco final del aniversario 51 de la organización más
importante a nivel Mundial en el Off-Road, que se completó en noviembre pasado
con la celebración de la edición 57 de la BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000.
LA FIESTA COMENZARÁ TEMPRANO
Los invitados al evento podrán ingresar al museo a partir de las 5:30 de la
tarde, para observar la exhibición de artículos históricos del Off-Road, mismos
que formarán parte de la decoración del histórico recinto, previo a la recepción
de la ceremonia de premiación, que será a las 6 de la tarde.
PREMIOS DE LUJO
Como extra a la premiación de los campeones de SCORE en las diferentes
categorías profesionales y Sportsmans que resultaron vencedores en esta
temporada, se reconocerá a 5 campeones overall de SCORE. También se revelarán
los nombres de los 8 ganadores de los Premios SCORE, lo que será un momento muy
especial de la velada.
El diseño de los trofeos de la Gala SCORE fueron creados en forma exclusiva
por la empresa Lasernut, algo que sucedió por segunda ocasión, una compañía con
sede en Norco, California, que está a la vanguardia en la fabricación de
productos con metal para diferentes eventos.
Se reconocerá a empresas fabricadoras de carros de carrera y empresas
relacionadas con el Off-Road, mediante los Premios SCORE, divididos en 8
categorías diferentes, con los ganadores siendo elegidos por fans de SCORE
mediante la votación en línea, al igual que por más de 2 mil 500 agremiados de
SCORE. Entre los Premios SCORE que serán entregados, aparecen el de Novato del
Año de SCORE, Compañía de Contingencia Mecánica del Año de SCORE, Pit del Año de
SCORE y Mecánico del Año de SCORE.
CAMPEONES DE PUNTOS DE FABRICACIÓN
Se entregará el Premio SCORE a la empresa Fabricadora del Año, además del
trofeo para la empresa Fabricadora de Buggys, Fabricador de Motores, Fabricador
de Chasis Original de Truck, Utv´s y de Motos.
PREMIOS ROD HALL SCORE
Otro ingrediente especial de la velada deportiva que se estará dando a
conocer, serán los Premios Rod Hall SCORE 2024, presentados por la empresa
Toyota Escondido. Este galardón se ha entregado desde hace 39 años para los
corredores que finalizaron todas las millas de la temporada, en este año, el
Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2024 de SCORE. Un récord de 58 corredores para
SCORE, recorrieron las 2 mil 57.75 millas que le dieron forma a las 4 fechas del
Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2024 de SCORE.
PREMIOS ESPECIALES DE SCORE
También como parte de la gala de Off-Road, se entregarán los Premios de
SCORE al Legado, así como la Persona del Año de SCORE.

La velada incluirá un video especial con fotografías de los momentos más
