DIGITALISATION TAKES CENTRE STAGE AT THE MENA HSE FORUM 2023

> The MENA HSE Forum, held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Dubai from 1-2
> November, highlighted how digitalisation can enhance HSE management for
> effective safety monitoring, reporting and incident prevention

The speakers at the event also showed how it can also ensure cost saving, while
helping attain long-term sustainability. 

The impact of disruptive technologies in solving HSE requirements was major
focal point at the event. The speakers also presented other important topics
such as training and auditing, process safety, ESG practices, and psychological
safety at the workplace. 

The presenters, who have immense experience in the HSE industry, came from
renowned companies in the region such as Emirates Airlines, DEKRA, ACWA Power,
DEAP VISION, Wolters Kluwer, Petrofac, Emirates Global Aluminium, and many
others. 

Larry Wilson, CEO of Safestart International, who chaired the event, said, “I
found the forum to be an excellent source of thought leadership and content.
There was a very good variety of current and relevant topics presented, from
high-level presentations on leadership and governance, down to technical
sessions on more basic things like getting more out of your safety committee.”

Phil Beckett, training governance specialist – naval technical training at BAE
Systems Saudi Development & Training Company Ltd, said, “Every one of the
speakers were so knowledgeable, confident and clear in the way they delivered
their topics. I look forward to the next event.”

The forum executed a well-structured programme, delivering presentations to more
than 120 delegates from the HSE community of the region. 

A panel session held on the first day of the event looked at the challenges of
implementing digital transformation solutions. The audience also gained access
to case studies on mitigating risk and crisis management planning. 

Sponsors included DEKRA, ACWA Power, Yokogawa, Wolters Kluwer, Safestart, RAP4,
Acumen Software, Benchmark Gensuite, FARNEK, and DEAP VISION.
