AT TE AWAMUTU MEDICAL CENTRE, YOU’LL FIND A TEAM OF FRIENDLY, WELCOMING DOCTORS
AND HEALTH PROFESSIONALS TO HELP YOU AND YOUR WHANAU.

We deliver a full range of healthcare services. Register with one of our GPs to
get personalised, continuous care. You’ll have a doctor who knows you and your
family’s medical history, and who you can feel confident with.

In addition to our GP services, we provide nurse-led services, visiting
specialists, and a drop-in urgent care clinic.

See us to sign up for the Manage My Health online patient portal. which gives
you access to your own medical information, as well as ways to communicate with
your GP, saving you time and cost.

AFTER-HOURS CARE

If you need treatment outside our opening hours, please phone our after-hours
provider, Angelsea Clinic, on 07 858 0800 or Healthline on 0800 611 116. If your
emergency is serious, call 111. If you phone our clinic, you will hear these
numbers repeated for your reference.

LATEST NEWS & UPDATES

We are accepting new patients now. Start your enrolment online or enrol at
reception (remember to bring two forms of ID).

COVID-19 warning: If you have cough, fever, flu-like symptoms, loss of smell,
have recently returned from overseas or have been in contact with someone who
has, or who has tested positive for COVID, please DO NOT ENTER the clinic. Stay
in your car or at home and phone us on 07 872 0300. We will either send a
clinician out to see you in the carpark, or advise you what to do next.

We are open weekdays from 8am-6pm and also Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm (a
surcharge applies on Saturdays, and also Community Service Card discounts do not
apply on Saturdays).

Women's Health Clinic - Dr Mary Ballantyne and Dr Jo Vipond and our specialised
nurses are available for consultations on mid-life & menopause, family planning
and sexual health. Contact reception now to book an appointment. This clinic is
available weekly on Monday and Wednesday afternoon/evenings until 6pm.

Our nurses have a FREE sexual health service for 24 yr olds and under, whether
you are enrolled with us or not. Contraception advice & education, STI
checks/treatment, GP follow ups if needed, smears and pregnancy tests & support.
Contact us to book during opening hours, incl Saturday mornings until 12pm.
