COP26 Q&A WITH BERKELEY EARTH CLIMATE SCIENTISTS

What does a world below the Paris Agreement targets actually look like? Ahead of
the COP26 Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Dr. Robert Rohde and Dr. Zeke
Hausfahter answer your questions about a world below 1.5°C.

NOW AVAILABLE: THE IPCC'S SIXTH ASSESSMENT REPORT ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Featuring Berkeley Earth's world-leading temperature data sets, the highly
anticipated AR6 Working Group I report represents the world's most comprehensive
academic work on climate change. In response to the publication of this historic
report, Berkeley Earth hosted a Q&A with Lead Scientist Dr. Robert Rohde and
Research Scientist Dr. Zeke Hausfather. Click below to access the full report

AIR POLLUTION AND CIGARETTE EQUIVALENCE

With air quality levels deteriorating to unhealthy levels throughout the US West
Coast, our 2015 study correlating PM2.5 levels with the health impacts of
cigarette smoking highlights the dangers of prolonged exposure to poor air
quality.

NUCLEAR WASTE NEEDS TO BE PART OF THE CONVERSATION ON CLIMATE CHANGE

"The climate crisis requires immediate action to reduce carbon-based energy
sources. Nuclear energy is part of the low-carbon energy mix, but if we don’t
solve the waste problem then we’re not being responsible." Berkeley Earth
Co-Founder and President Elizabeth Muller explores the connection between
nuclear waste and climate change, and what her new venture Deep Isolation is
doing to solve this crucial issue.

This paper by @leafwax et al is a really big deal; it represents a fundamental
reassessment of our understanding of climate change over the past 20,000 years.
It now seems much clearer current warming is unprecedented since at least before
the last ice age https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-021-03984-4
