non-mission-essential Internet browsing off the endpoint to a cloud-based
environment, significantly reducing the risk and attack surface of the DODIN and
relieving congestion at the Internet access points.

Reduce costs

CBII is expected to save DOD the more than $300 million it would have cost to
upgrade cybersecurity tools to defend internet access points, according to

What is FedRAMP?

The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is a United
States federal government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to
security assessment, Authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products
and services. FedRAMP provides a cost-effective, risk-based approach for the
adoption and use of cloud services by the federal government. FedRAMP empowers
government agencies to use modernized technologies, emphasizing security of
shared information.

FedRAMP Authorization provides credibility and increases confidence in cloud
security.

The FedRAMP Authorization process is rigorous but necessary. It provides
transparency between the US government and cloud providers. It also promotes
consistency and confidence in the security of cloud solutions using the National
Institutes of Standards & Technology (NIST) and FISMA defined standards 

FedRAMP Authorization promotes government IT modernization and digital
transformation.

FedRAMP promotes the use of innovative, secure cloud computing services to
achieve operational efficiencies. These efforts directly impact government IT
modernization efforts that help government agencies advance their critical

FedRAMP supports more than just Fed.

FedRAMP was designed for the federal government, but the benefits extend to
