Less Waiting, Fewer Headaches, More Time, Better Experience

HOW IT WORKS

1. Apply Online
Submit the online application.

2. Enroll
Applicants who are conditionally approved can complete their interviews upon
arrival into the United States at an Enrollment on Arrival location or by
scheduling an appointment at an Enrollment Center.

If you are flying internationally into the US within the next 6 months we
encourage you to complete your Global Entry enrollment at an Enrollment on
Arrival (EoA) location as an alternative to scheduling an interview at an
Enrollment Center.

Find a Global Entry EoA Location

3. Membership
Once accepted, your membership will last for 5 years.
Additional International Arrangements.

BENEFITS

 * Reduced wait times with Global Entry processing technology
 * No paperwork to be filled out by passengers upon entry
 * Includes TSA PreCheck®

Global Entry program members can use Global Entry processing technology at more
than 75 airports when returning to the U.S. from travel abroad.

Estimated Processing Time

 * CBP Trusted Traveler Programs application processing consists of two steps,
   application vetting and applicant in-person interview.
 * The application vetting process normally occurs within two weeks after the
   submission of the application.
 * If additional review of the application is needed after vetting, a manual
   review of the application is needed and processing time for completion of the
   manual review is currently between 12-24 months, depending on the program. At
   that point the applicant receives either conditional approval or a denial.
   * Possible reasons for application denial are outlined below in "Reasons for
     Delays or Denials".
   * If manual review is required, application processing time can vary
     significantly between members of a single household or traveling groups. We
     are not able to predict in advance which applications may require manual
     review.
 * If no additional review of the application is needed after vetting, the
   candidate receives conditional approval, enabling the candidate to schedule
   the in-person interview.
 * Once satisfactory vetting results are obtained, the timing for obtaining
   enrollment in a Trusted Traveler Program is dependent on the candidate’s
   ability to attend the in-person interview at either a Global Entry enrollment
   center or at an international airport.
   * We encourage applicants to check Enrollment Center locations (and
     availability) prior to application, to ensure they are able to travel to an
     interview location.
   * https://ttp.dhs.gov/schedulerui/schedule-interview/location?lang=en&vo=true&returnUrl=ttp-external&service=up

Reasons for Delays or Denials

Applications that require manual adjudication, such as those with criminal
history, are mostly likely to require additional time to process. CBP may
determine that applicants are ineligible due to incomplete or false application
information, certain violations of federal security regulations, or
disqualifying criminal offenses and factors. Other reasons for delay may
include:

 * The applicant provides false or incomplete information on the application;
 * The applicant has been arrested for, or convicted of, any criminal offense or
   has denied firearms transactions, pending criminal charges, protection
   orders, or outstanding warrants in any country;
 * The applicant has been found in violation of any customs, immigration, or
   agriculture regulations, procedures, or laws in any country;
 * The applicant is the subject of an investigation by any federal, state, or
   local law enforcement agency in any country;
 * The applicant is inadmissible to the United States under applicable
   immigration laws or has, at any time, been granted a waiver of
   inadmissibility or parole;
 * The applicant is known or suspected of being or having been engaged in
   conduct constituting, in preparation for, in aid of, or related to terrorism;
   or
 * The applicant cannot satisfy CBP of his or her low-risk status or meet other
   program requirements.

In some cases, partner program application processing has taken an extended
period of time. We are aware of this issue and are working closely with partner
countries to resolve backlogs in the process. Because these cases are pending
resolution by our international partners, we are not able to expedite processing
and do not have individual updates for resolution time. We regret the
inconvenience this may be causing.
