PREREQUISITES


THE EJPT IS A CERTIFICATION FOR ADVANCED IT PROFESSIONALS WHO HAVE JUST BEGUN
THEIR JOURNEY IN PENETRATION TESTING. EVERYONE CAN ATTEMPT THE CERTIFICATION
EXAM, HOWEVER HERE ARE THE SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU PASS:

 * * * Deep understanding of networking concepts
     * Simple manual web application security assessment and exploitation
     * Basic vulnerability assessment of networks
     * Using Metasploit for performing simple attacks
     * Web application manual exploitation through attack vectors
     * Ability to perform protocol analysis of a traffic capture
     * Understanding of information gathering techniques
     * Understanding of the penetration testing process


The exam


ELEARNSECURITY’S EJPT CERTIFIES THAT THE CANDIDATE HAS ALL THE PREREQUISITES
NEEDED TO ENROLL IN INE’S PENETRATION TESTING PROFESSIONAL LEARNING PATH.

The candidate will receive a real-world engagement within INE’s Virtual Lab
environment. You will need an Internet connection and VPN software in order to
carry out this exam.




CERTIFICATION PROCESS

There are two ways you can become an eJPT:



1. PURCHASE AN INE SUBSCRIPTION AND ENROLL IN THE PENETRATION TESTING STUDENT
LEARNING PATH.

The Penetration Testing Student learning path is an intro survey into
penetration testing, preparing candidates for a future in cyber security with a
strong foundation in networking, programming and web fundamentals.

2. ATTEMPTING THE CERTIFICATION WITHOUT TRAINING

Candidates that feel prepared to demonstrate their practical and professional
skills can purchase an eJPT voucher and go through the certification process at
their own risk.

WHETHER YOU ARE ATTEMPTING THE EJPT CERTIFICATION EXAM ON YOUR OWN OR AFTER
HAVING ATTENDED ONE OF OUR APPROVED TRAINING COURSES, YOU WILL NEED TO FOLLOW
THESE STEPS TO GET A CERTIFICATE:

PURCHASE A CERTIFICATION EXAM VOUCHER

Whether you are attempting the certification exam on your own or after
completing one of our approved learning paths, you will need to purchase an exam
voucher before you can start your certification process. Once you obtain the
voucher you will receive login credentials to our Certification area where you
will manage the exam, the VPN credentials, and any other materials related to
the certification process.

BEGIN THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS

Regular vouchers expire after 180 days from purchase.

Before the certification expires, you will have to begin the certification
process by clicking on “Begin certification process”. The expiration date will
always be available in your certification area and reminder emails are sent to
make sure you take advantage of the voucher.

TAKE YOUR EXAM

Once you click on the “Begin certification process” button, you will receive an
email with instructions regarding the scope of engagement. This letter will
contain everything you need to know to take your exam.

RECEIVE YOUR RESULTS

To be awarded the certification, you need to score a 75% or above. Once you
submit your exam, it will be automatically graded and you will receive your
results immediately. Should you fail the first attempt, you will then have one
free attempt to re-take the certification.
