Delivery and Installation
* Delivery and installation may be performed by a third-party carrier or
installer.
* Delivery & set up/connection can only occur at the time of your scheduled
delivery appointment and must meet the installation requirements listed
below.
* Connection of the product to existing utilities is limited, can vary based
upon your home and must comply with local codes, or in the absence of local
codes, with the National Fuel Gas Code and the National Electric Code.
* Our delivery and complex installation teams are required to install anti-tip
brackets on certain appliances, at no additional cost to our members. Refusal
of anti-tip bracket installation will result in drop-off delivery only and no
connections will be completed.
* Delivery agents are not licensed carpenters, plumbers or electricians. No
modifications can be made to the home, countertops, walls, cabinetry or
backsplash and we do not provide plumbing or electrical services. Commercial
or built-in appliances cannot be installed, removed or hauled away
* If proper electrical outlets, gas or water supply shut-off valves, or venting
sources are not available or located directly behind the appliance at the
time of delivery, a complete installation will not be possible.
* Delivery is subject to reasonable access to the area without damaging the
purchaser's property or the product, or jeopardizing the safety of the
delivery personnel.
* Recipients must be home at time of delivery. An adult, 18 years or older,
will need to be present during delivery.
* California Only: Costco has filed a blanket performance and payment bond with
the California Contractors State License Board (Bond No. 023007178.) The
surety is Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, 1001 4th Avenue, Seattle, WA
98154. The bond waives the down payment provision set forth in Section 7159.5
of the Business & Professions Code and permits payment of the full Contract
Price prior to performance of the work. A copy of the bond is available upon
your request.
Haul Away Service
* Haul away service is included with appliance purchase.
* Built-in appliances can only be hauled away when uninstalled by the member
prior to the arrival of the delivery event.

ORDERING REFRIGERATOR FROM COSTCO.COM
The delivery guys damaged our maple floor during installation and did not
provide the snap rings for the French doors. As a result, one of the doors
does not close properly. Despite countless calls to Customer Service, the
Concierge service and the Delivery company, neither one of the issues has
been resolved as of yet. It takes from 1/2 hour to an hour to get through to
a live person. So between my husband and I we have spent hours on the phone

It's shiny and new, but not much to like beyond that.
Doors need to be opened/closed in a specific order. The flap on the L door
doesn't flip all the way, so if you try to close it when the R door is
already closed, the flap will hit the R door. Samsung sent some one to try
to fix it and they replaced the parts, but it still doesn't work right. I
called Costco concierge to see what they would say, and they told me "that's
just how it is."
Shelves have to be removed as a set, there isn't an easy way to separate
left and right parts. So if you want to take out and clean only one side,
you still have to take the whole shelf out.

PERFECT FOR OUR FAMILY'S LIFESTYLE
We wanted a refrigerator with easy water access but rarely use ice, so we
didn't want the ice maker taking up room in the refrigerator space. The
autofill pitcher has been perfect; we love not having to wait for a slow
water spigot to fill our bottles, and the pitcher itself is actually quite
beautiful so I have no problem putting it out when entertaining. We love how
roomy both sections are, and how easily the freezer opens thanks to the
seal-breaking handle. The freezer drawers are magical; somehow easy to open
either level and also to organize things. At first we had trouble with the
flap between doors not closing, but the included shims fixed that issue. It
works quietly and well, and so far it's exactly what we needed.

WORKED FOR A DAY
Installed Wednesday, Thanksgiving was Thursday, all the leftovers were warm
on Friday. Samsung support was pretty OK. A lot of nonsensical
troubleshooting. Weird, the freezer still is staying cold a week later, ice
maker stopped making ice, fridge is room temp. Samsung tried to dispatch a
technician. I never heard from the repair company so I called to follow up.
They said they are currently really busy and declining any service tickets
for customers that did not purchase from them. Now Samsung is in the process
of offering me a "possible accommodation" which is the purchase price plus
tax on the fridge... but it's still unclear if they're going to come pick
the fridge up. I really don't want a half working appliance kicking around
the house. This experience has made me question both Samsung appliances and
buying from Costco rather than a local appliance company that has in house
service.

COSTCO REPRESENTATIVES LIE TO GET YOU TO BUY
The refrigerator came damage from multiple sites and when you ask for
another one Costco will tell you it’s out of stock too bad it’s either you
keep the damage fridge or you can take your money back. Even though I asked
specifically Costco representative if the fridge comes in damage what is
your policy and Costco told me they will give me another fridge for the same
price that will never happened I don’t trust Costco anymore.

LOVE IT. COULD USE SOME ADJUSTMENTS IN DESIGN.
So far I'm LOVING my Samsung Refrigerator. After delivery I did notice some
faint scratches on the front of one door and it was sooooo easy to contact
Costco via chat and within less than 2 weeks they had a new door sent and a
local appliance guy to install it without any problems!
The only downside I've encountered is the ice machine doesn't have a stop to
dispensing the cubes when the drawer is fully extended (open) and then drops
cubes that go flying on the floor and under the drawer. The other thing I
don't care for is the extent a person has to go to get under the glass of
the bottom 'shelf'. The entire shelf has to be taken out.

DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG
Our SAMSUNG refirgerator broke within 6 months of purchase. We promptly
called Costco and Samsung for a repair, and now We are at 7 weeks now of NO
REFRIDGERATOR and no resolution. Samsung has dropped the ball on this so
many times, we called on 7/20 it took them 2 weeks to get a tech out, 2 more
weeks to order the part, the part ordered was the wrong part, Samsung says
they will fix and I call almost everyday, and they say the same thing. I ask
when will this get repaired, 'we are working on it' 'we are escalating this'
etc etc etc and STILL we have no refrigerator.
We have been telling all of our neighbors about this, and no surprise, 2 of
our neighbors had almost the same experience with Samsung, weeks of Samsung
dragging their feet, making all the excuses in the world of why they can't
repair or replace this in a timely manner.
The tech we talked to, said that these regularly stop working, and he sees
an average of them lasting 3-4 years, before having to replace the
compressor. THIS IS NO GOOD!
I knew Samsung isn't the most reliable product, but I thought a 2-year
warranty would be fine. I WAS WRONG. We feel like we are hostage to Samsung
now since we are waiting for a repair. If this was a refrigerator out of
warranty, we would go buy a new one the next day. But that doesn't happen
here, you end up waiting months for any sort of resolution.
I'm sure Costco or someone will chime in here and say call us to resolve, or
this is being taken care of, BUT BEWARE, this is what they say to make it
look like it's a good product that has a good service record, THIS IS NOT
THE CASE, DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. You have been warned.
They will not fix your appliance in a timely manner. And its just not us,
just check around some forums and you'll see the nightmares that SAMSUNG
causes.
Unreliable & poor quality product (It sure looks nice though!) and even
WORSE customer service/warranty/repair. Seriously, stay away from them. They
have made it so hard to get a repair, refund or replacement we are giving up
and buying another more reliable brand, and eating the $2,000 we spent on
this joke of a refrigerator and company.
*Its worth noting too, that we bought 4 Samsung appliances at the same time,
and within 6 months, 2 of the 4 products have had defects and will not work
any longer.
