THE EXPERIENCE

How to create the environment where people feel included

In today’s world of rapid evolution, it’s a “must do” to realize the full
capacity of tech solutions in supporting virtual event management. Yet, by
necessity, this task is often given to those with many other responsibilities
and no specialized training or time to keep up on the forefront of virtual event
management innovation. The result: tech that gets us by, achieves the function,
makes use of the virtual world, but falls short of elevating participant
experience.

OUR ROOTS

This toolkit represents the shared vision and implementation practices of Nexus
Alchemy and Goodwin Group. We are two women-owned small businesses with a
history of helping great people do great things. Nexus Alchemy is owned by Deb
Chromik, and Goodwin Group by Jen Hurley. Deb and Jen have collaborated since
2013 to virtually manage projects and events that go beyond competent coverage
of all event elements to delivering great events that add a warm and valuable
experience for those we help.

We compiled our lessons learned and tools for supporting excellence in virtual
event management into this toolkit and hope that you find as much value in them
as we have over the years.

Better yet, contact us to help you for an upcoming event! Our best wishes to
you!

Our strategic framework fits into four categories: Envision, Invent, Produce,
and Improve. All of our tools are organized to help you accomplish one of these
actions

During the Envision stage of event planning, you and your team will set
expectations for the event and decide the roles and responsibilities for the
team, as well as identify gaps in staffing or resources. The Envision tools
we’ve created help you to identify what to do next.

The Invent tools are those you’ll need to ensure consistency and expectations
for those participating.

When you reach the Produce stage, you may be within a couple of weeks or months
(depending on size) of your event. The tools contained in this section help you
ensure that everyone is clear about what is expected during the day of the
event.

After the event ends, you capture lessons learned and promising practices for
next time using the Improve tools.
