DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLASS 2, CLASS 3 & NON-ANSI SAFETY VEST


CLASS 2 SAFETY VEST

Class 2 Safety Vest standards are meant for environments that have traffic
moving between 25-50 mph. Examples of jobs that use class 2 safety vest are:
landscapers, toll booth operators, airport ground crew, electricians, warehouse
workers, waste management, parking attendant, & construction away from high
speed traffic.

CLASS 3 SAFETY VEST

Class 3 Safety Vest standards are designed for environments that have traffic
exceeding 50 mph. Highway | Freeway workers are required to wear Class 3. The
main difference between a Class 2 and Class 3 is the amount of high visibility
garment. Class 3 has more hi vis garment than Class 2.

NON-ANSI OR NO CLASS

Vest that have other colors may not meet the requirements for classification.
These are not classified as safety vest and must not be used in work
environments that require safety vest with class 2 or class 3. These colored
vest are great for events, groups, teams & personal use.
