NATIONAL LANDCARE PROGRAM
The National Landcare Program (NLP) was a key part of our commitment to natural
resource management.
As a nationwide effort, the program contributed to addressing problems such as:
* vegetation loss
* soil degradation
* introduced pest weeds and animals
* water quality changes and flows
* fire regime changes.
WHAT WE DID
We invested over $1 billion into Phase 2 of the NLP. This funded projects until
June 2023.
PHASE 2
Phase 2 projects focused on partnership. We promoted sustainability by
partnering with other governments and organisations.

PHASE 1
Funding in the first phase of the NLP focused on projects that supported:
* local and regional communities
* on-ground biodiversity
* sustainable agriculture outcomes.
