ROBOT CONTROL SOFTWARE ENGINEER (M/F/D)

FESTANSTELLUNG, VOLLZEIT · MUNICH

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In this job you will:

 * Design and develop software in C/C++ for robot arm control
    (ranging from single motor to multi-body control)
 * Write software tests and define hardware testing procedures
 * Review code developed by your peers
 * Work hands-on with robotic systems
 * Investigate and evaluate the newest robotic technologies and research results

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We are looking for motivated, multi-disciplinary engineers to join our Robot
Group at Agile Robots AG in Munich as full-time employees. Developing the entire
span of robot components in-house, provides the control engineers of our Robot
Group with unrestricted possibilities and the opportunity to work in close
collaboration with the hardware teams. We believe that this is key for achieving
the high-end control performance that we are aiming for.
As an engineer in our team, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in
a spectrum of state-of-the-art technologies and work with mission-driven,
talented colleagues from across the globe. If you are passionate about dynamics
and control in combination with good software engineering practices, enjoy

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

 * A sound understanding of robot Kinematics and Dynamics
 * A strong academic background in control engineering
 * Hands-on experience in parameter identification and tuning
 * Worked with Linux operating systems
 * Proficient programming skills in modern C++
 * Good troubleshooting and software debugging skills (e.g. gdb, lldb)
 * The capability to work and communicate entirely in English

BENEFICIAL SKILLS

 * Good programming skills in Python, Julia or similar
 * Experience with common software engineering tools 
    (e.g. Git, build systems, software packaging)
 * Experience with middleware (e.g. DDS, ROS)
