Aldi shoppers have gone wild for the newest additions to the budget
supermarket’s January Wellness range, which drops in stores this week. Among the
new collection is a massage candle, which customers are saying is almost
‘identical’ to a luxury brand’s £46 version.

Aldi’s Specialbuys UK Instagram account shared a video of the new Hotel
Collection Massage Candle, which melts into sensual oils to soothe sore muscles.
The account wrote: “Spa days everyday. Grab our Massage Candle in store Thursday
so you can enjoy a little bit of luxury whenever you like! Tag someone who would
love this below #AisleofAldi #ILoveAldi #massagecandle #candle.”

The reel has been viewed over 185,000 times, racking up 2,789 likes and 216
comments, with Aldi fans saying the candle is “exactly like Neom”. Hollieevelyn
commented: “Stop it wow.”

Nicolecrookes said, “ooooh a Neom dupe,” while Dramymurray wrote, “Exactly like
the Neom!!” Elemayrobinson commented: “Wwwwhhhhhhhaaaaatttttttt is this
sorcery?!?”

Coming to Aldi stores nationwide on Thursday, January 25, the new Hotel
Collection Massage Candle will be priced at £4.99. These moisturising candles
will be the perfect way to soothe sore muscles. Not only that, but Aldi’s
Massage Candle is 89 per cent cheaper than luxury brand Neom, whose Intensive
Skin Treatment Candles are priced at £46.

Shoppers can choose from three scents: Free Your Mind, Inner Peace or Moment of
Ease for a relaxing start to the new year on a budget. Other new products
included in the range are the Zen Collection Candle and Reed Diffuser, priced at
£3.99.

Available in a choice of three scents, Tranquil, Calm or Happy, each scent is
expertly crafted using essential oils and will evoke feelings of relaxation and
tranquillity. To elevate your bath, the new Lacura Almond & Coconut Honey Sweet
Bath Nectar (£5.99, 300ml) – pair with Aldi’s new candles for a soft bath time
glow. Formulated with a comforting blend of sweet almond oil, wheat protein and
Provitamin B5, it will help protect the skin’s moisture barrier while also
creating a rich bubble bath.

The Neom Perfect Night Sleep Treatment Candle is currently priced at £45 at
SpaceNK . It boasts an average 4.8 out of five star rating, from 13 reviews.

Amaksy wrote: “I got this as a gift and found it’s used really beneficial. Not
only to be used as a candle to scent a room and help set a tranquil mood but
when melted the body oil can be massaged to soothe tired or aching muscles all
over the body. I would like to also add after use it has multi uses because of
the easy pour shape.”

Fortuna said: “Whoever came up with this is a genius! I love the idea of
lighting the candle, letting it release the calming aroma and then using the
liquified wax as a nourishing body oil. It worked wonders on my dry skin by
deeply hydrating and rejuvenating it. The formula is very rich with lots of
essential oils and even an energising blend of various vitamins. The gently warm
oil feels very soothing and absorbed well leaving a soft and very comforted
skin. The pot is so pretty too and will be a joy to re-use. Thank you NEOM!”

Alternatively, Amazon is selling the Beauty Image Hot Oil Body Massage Candles,
which comes in five different scents – Glamour, Rosehip, Vanilla, Passion Fruit,
and Strawberry – which are usually priced between £9.10 and £10.89. The site
currently has an offer on the Beauty Image Rosehip Hot Oil Body Massage Candle,
where customers can subscribe and save five per cent, pricing the candle at
£8.65. Superdrug also sells the YESforLOV Massage Candle with the Bewitching
Scent 120gm for £34.90.
