They're taught and mentored by a diverse faculty of academics and media makers They take on internships with high profile industry professionals looking for upcoming talent They graduate having already built a robust portfolio and professional network MAKE & CREATE WITH PROFESSIONAL GRADE EQUIPMENT PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO A large 4,500sq.ft. studio space with a variety of professional lighting systems, product tables, fabric backdrops, rolling studio stands, grip and support systems, softboxes, and a variety of light modifiers. SOUNDSTAGE A 3,000 sq. ft sound-insulated workspace with a full light grid, camera dolly, and green screen. EDITING SUITES Film editing benches for completing analog assignments and digital suites equipped with editing software. PRINT LABS & DARKROOMS Labs for developing photographic film — the labs support historical and alternative film processes like tin types, glass plate negatives, B&W Fibre and analogue colour printing. WORKSHOPS & MAKER SPACES OPEN SPACE (OPENS IN NEW WINDOW) The Open Space is a production facility for developing, fabricating and testing multimedia projects, with the assistance and consultation of technical staff. DESIGN + TECHNOLOGY LAB (OPENS IN NEW WINDOW) The LAB is a technology-based workshop with a wide range of tools and equipment for fabrication, including: * 3D printers * Woodworking equipment * Metalworking equipment * Laser cutters * Robotic tools * Drones * AR/VR equipment SHARE YOUR WORK & STAND OUT Gallery exhibits, festivals and live events give students the opportunity to collaborate, build confidence and have their voices heard. IMAGE ARTS FILM FESTIVAL (external link, opens in new window) An annual, student-run festival that premieres the thesis films made by students MAXIMUM EXPOSURE (external link, opens in new window) A year-end exhibition showcasing student work and featuring a curated selection of photography, installation, moving image and digital arts. FUNCTION MAGAZINE (external link, opens in new window) A visual art and culture publication that is curated, designed, and produced by a team of 4th-year students IN GOOD COMPANY Pause Carousel Carousel content with 3 slides.
