Travel times: 45-60 minutes by taxi or shuttle, depending on traffic; 50 minutes by CTA. Midway International Airport (MDW) is approximately 13 miles from the BCBSA office.Travel times: 30-45 minutes by taxi or shuttle, depending on traffic; 45 minutes by CTA. Ground Transportation Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) You can take the Blue Line (from O’Hare) or the Orange Line (from Midway) to get to our neighborhood. Train fare from O’Hare is $5.00. All other train fares (including to O’Hare from downtown) are $2.50. CTA’s O’Hare Station (Blue Line) is centrally located in the airport on the lower level concourse. Follow the “Trains to the City” signs to the station. Board the train to Downtown. Get off at the Clark/Lake stop, a three-block walk to the BCBSA office. CTA’s Midway Station (Orange Line) is located just east of the airport. A skybridge with escalators, elevators and moving sidewalks connects the station to the airport. Follow the overhead “Trains to the City” signs from the airport to the station to board the train. Get off at the State/Lake stop, a two-block walk to the BCBSA office. Shuttle Service Go Airport Express provides regularly-scheduled bus service from O’Hare and Midway Airports to downtown Chicago. You do not need a reservation if you are leaving from either airport for downtown. Reservations are required if you are traveling to the airport. Shuttle service begins at 4 a.m. for hotels. To schedule your return to the airport, call 1.888.284.3826 or reserve online at www.airportexpress.com. From O’Hare The shuttle runs every 10-15 minutes, from 4 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Travel time is approximately 45 minutes. The one-way fare is $30 or $53 round-trip, per person. Transportation counters are located across from baggage claim near doors 1-E and 3-E. Pick-up is also available at door 2-E. From Midway The shuttle runs every 15 minutes, from 4 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes. The one-way fare is $25 or $44 round-trip, per person. The transportation counter is located across from baggage claim near door 3. Taxi Service Taxis are available on the lower level of each terminal outside the baggage claim. Taxi fares are approximately $40- $45 from O’Hare and Midway Airports. Ride Share O’Hare uberX / Lyft pickups occur upstairs on the departures level (Terminals 1, 2 and 3). Midway uberX / Lyft pickups are upstairs on the Departures level. Exit through Door UL. Auto Rental Information Discounts are offered on car rentals from Enterprise, Hertz and National.
