Preventive care is key to staying healthy and up to date on important health
screenings. Your primary care provider (PCP) can also serve as a good first
point of contact for support and guidance about your mental health. Physical
health conditions can cause or worsen mental health symptoms and vice versa, so
your PCP can screen you for physical health issues and then help you decide on
the best treatment. They can also refer you to a therapist.
