New updates usually cause ink to no longer work EVEN with their cartridges.
Also, I NEVER update the firmware as I used to have a DesignJet T1300 plotter
and I learned my painful lesson that software updates FIX Nothing and only are
HPs way of making any generic ink cartridges worthless. If anything gets
"updated", I just revert back to an earlier state.

I made a Win 10 VM on 11 and made it an exclusive print server because trying to
get it to work on win 11 was a disaster. You want to get really fucked? Sign up
for that one. And fuck their little reoccurring revenue model for ink delivery.
Hell, they had a big class action law suit years ago for the very shit we’re all
complaining about here. Those money grubbing mother fuckers are programming
their revenue, by sending as updates to get you off the old shit and into the
new…and forcing you to buy their genuine ink at a premium. This is what support
had me do to try and fix my problem. I had to remove all the cartridges and
replace them one at a time, with door closes in between.

I removed the previous chip from a working cartridge and placed it into the
newer one, and it worked. There SW updates and this chip make your life a living
hell. The little chip on the right side is the reason for this
issue/malfunction. They told me I needed a new printer! I said, FUCK You, wrote
to the BBB and got their attention and my $120 back- but I figured out something
valuable. After getting errors that my new print cartridges that I installed are
an older version, but may still work on an older model printer I went ballistic.
