Consequently, we recommend regular breast screening checks using the pain-free, radiation-free and non-contact Breast Thermography. WHAT IS BREAST THERMOGRAPHY AND HOW DOES IT WORK? Breast Thermography uses the latest technology which scans the breasts using an infrared camera to produce a “thermogram” without any radiation because your using your own natural body heat for the Thermography scan. Skin surface temperatures, blood vessel patterns, and nervous system responses can display normal and abnormal physiologic functions. Modern computerized infrared image processing combined with established patient and laboratory protocols produces high quality diagnostic images. These heat changes can occur upto 10 years before a tumour is big enough to see on a mammogram. Therefore detecting this heat can enable earlier diagnosis and reduce the risk. Infrared imaging is the earliest detector due to its ability to image the subtle physiologic conditions which support tumour development and growth (neoangiogenesis, hypervascularity, and hyperthermia) WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BREAST THERMOGRAPHY 100% safe, radiation-free and non-contact. Very early detection of cancer risk (up to 7-10 years earlier). It is unique in its capacity to visually record physiological changes and metabolic processes. Breast Thermography Screening can be repeated as often as you like with no risk or radiation and therefore is suited for frequent Breast Screening or in cases where a patient might be unwilling to proceed with surgery. AT WHAT AGE SHOULD I START TO HAVE BREAST THERMOGRAPHY?
