The 55th Big Gig runs across 3 weekends (Thursday-Saturday) from 6/22-24, 6/29-7/1, and 7/6-8 🎶☀️ Milwaukee is known as the city of festivals for a reason, and while we have them all year round, summer is jam packed with festivals of every kind. Summerfest has always been my personal favorite because of how much I loooove music, as well as because some of my favorite memories have taken place there. Ever since jagesaurus and I got dropped off by our parents to see Saliva on the Zippo Rock Stage back in 2007, I've been hooked and can't imagine ever not spending at least a few days in late June/ early July down by the lakefront. christina_hoops_mke and I's first real date was at Summerfest to see Theory of A Deadman. Some of the only times I've seen certain artists was at Summerfest. I've spent tons of days and nights there with friends and family seeing live music and having an amazing time. And I've had a truckload of delicious Saz's sampler platters and intend to continue that tradition this year 😅 Once Summerfest gets going, the busyness of the summer season kicks into high gear. The East Side is located just north of downtown and just up the hill from scenic Lincoln Memorial Drive along Lake Michigan. The historic North Point Water Tower marks the entrance on the East. A ‘crossroads’ post marks the entrance on the West. 2. Is there an admission fee to Summer Soulstice or any of the performances? There is no fee to attend Summer Soulstice. Admission to the festival grounds and stages is free! Summer Soulstice is a free festival sponsored by the East Side BID #20, local area businesses, and the Festival Sponsors. 3. Will there be food and beverages available for purchase? Yes, Summer Soulstice will have a large variety of food, beverage and merchandise vendors selling at the festival. In addition, all of your favorite East Side bars, restaurants and stores will be open before, during, and even after the festival ends at midnight. 4.
