    <span class="style4">Briefly describe the position's primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization.</span>

    rows="8">Under general supervision, performs a variety of technical duties in support of the City�s local code enforcement program; inspects, monitors, and enforces a variety of applicable ordinances, codes, and regulations related to zoning, land use, nuisance housing, building codes, sign ordinances, trash, inoperable vehicles, health and safety, blight, graffiti, water waste, etc. Also cites individuals and businesses for storm water management infractions. Serves as a resource and provides information on City regulations to property owners, residents, businesses, the general public, and other City departments and divisions. Cites code violations. Attends CIty Council meetings on a monthly basis to address code violation issues. Appears in court as needed as witness concerning code violations. Must have a well mannered professional attitude in dealing with the general public and city officials.</textarea>

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Briefly describe the position's primary purpose or contribution to the
department or organization.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of technical duties in support of
the City�s local code enforcement program; inspects, monitors, and enforces a
variety of applicable ordinances, codes, and regulations related to zoning, land
use, nuisance housing, building codes, sign ordinances, trash, inoperable
vehicles, health and safety, blight, graffiti, water waste, etc. Also cites
individuals and businesses for storm water management infractions. Serves as a
resource and provides information on City regulations to property owners,
residents, businesses, the general public, and other City departments and
divisions. Cites code violations. Attends CIty Council meetings on a monthly
basis to address code violation issues. Appears in court as needed as witness
concerning code violations. Must have a well mannered professional attitude in
dealing with the general public and city officials.

Level 0:No supervision.Level 1:Supervises a SMALL GROUP (1-3) of employees in

Level 1:Minimum requirement; general educational background without high school
completion.Level 2:Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area
work routines. Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular
emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others.Level
3:High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in
a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment
