According to the International Energy Agency, as winter approaches, a
combination of favourable LNG market dynamics, robust pipeline deliveries from
suppliers, lower demand, and policy actions has given Europe a chance to
sidestep some of the worst immediate impacts of steep cuts to natural gas
deliveries. 

Furthermore, mild weather, healthy storage levels and strong LNG supply have led
to a significant fall in some natural gas price markers. Leading up to the World
LNG Summit & Awards, industry experts from BRG Energy & Climate and RWE Supply &

Javier Moret is currently Global Head of LNG at RWE Supply & Trading, one of
Europe’s leading trading houses. He has more than 15 years of experience in the
LNG industry. Prior to joining RWE Supply & Trading in June 2012, he was in the
role of Director of LNG Origination at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He has
also held roles in LNG at Repsol and Gas Natural Fenosa, from trading and
origination to shipping and business development. He has studied at the IE
Business School, Energy Institute of Repsol and Spanish Maritime Institute.
