We will help you work through your bereavement and any specific issues you may be dealing with, offering emotional support and practical guidance to help you get through this difficult time GROUP SESSIONS Talking to others who are going through bereavement is a great way to deal with your own grief. For those who wish to do so, we have group sessions that will provide the emotional support you need, whilst meeting others who know exactly what you are going through. Tony had the vision to to provide a free service that offers both practical and emotional support to those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Serving our clients with professionalism and sensitivity, we are very proud to be giving a much needed and important service to our community. Most importantly “a place to be” is a group where people can come together and enjoy sharing experiences and find companionship in a relaxed environment away from the stresses of every day life. The group runs every Friday from 2pm to 4pm at St Marks Church Hall, Purley. £2 per person (includes tea, coffee and biscuits). PLEASE DONATE The Rowland Brothers Foundation is unique in the funeral industry in that it offers bereavement support to those who have suffered the loss of a loved one, completely free of charge. The Foundation also organises free training seminars on all aspects of bereavement to various charities & organisations, including training in child bereavement to schools. The Foundation also makes sizeable donations to many local charities and worthy causes. The Foundation finances this valuable work, which comes at some cost, from donations made each year by Rowland Brothers Funeral Directors. However, we are also very grateful for donations made to the charity by those who have benefitted from its help, or who recognise its significant community work, and wish to give financial support. Unfortunately, death and grief do not pause during a crisis. For over 145 years, Rowland Brothers has been taking care of members of this community and we stand ready to help you now. We will remain open and our experienced, caring staff will continue assisting families during this critical time. We are taking precautions to create a safe environment for you to honour those you have lost. The following best practices have been instituted: 1. Masks shall be always worn during funeral arrangements, in our vehicles by all staff and mourners. 2. Our staff take regular lateral flow tests, and we ask that all mourners take a lateral flow test one day prior to the funeral, if you prove positive then you must not attend the funeral. 3. Hand soap and sanitiser will be available for all visitors to the funeral home to use. 4. Our staff will practice extreme care in disinfecting all public areas and maintaining proper sanitation of our chapels, equipment and facilities. 5. We can arrange funerals via telephone, zoom or teams. 6. Funerals, visitation and other gatherings held in our Chapels will have the number of attendees limited in accordance to current Government guidelines. 7. Recommended social distancing practices will be encouraged for all visitors to our premises. 8. Livestreaming of funeral services will be available to families at the crematoriums. There maybe an additional for this service. 9. We are available 24/7 to answer any questions and concerns you may have and will continue to monitor Government, NHS and WHO. 10. Guidance is also considered from the National Association of Funeral Directors Association. Most of all, remember that during times of uncertainty it is important to rely upon one another and to come together as a community.
