The awards bring attention to the practices that these organizations employ to generate a high level of trust, among their employees, customers and their communities. The awards were established in 1994 and embody the BBB’s mission of advancing marketplace trust. About the Luncheon Speaker (for more information, see the event info page) The speaker for the 2014 Torch Awards Luncheon will be Major Dan Rooney, a veteran F-16 Fighter Pilot with 3 combat tours in Iraq, the founder of The Patriot Golf Club, the founder of the Folds of Honor Foundation, a PGA Professional, and author of A Patriot’s Calling—Living Life between Fear and Faith.
