IT'S MY GOAL TO BRING YOU CLASSES AND COURSES THAT ENCOURAGE CURIOSITY, HEALING, AND COMPASSION. I'M A CERTIFIED 200-HOUR YOGA TEACHER FROM BRETT LARKIN'S UPLIFTED PROGRAM AND PRACTICED YOGA, MEDITATION, AND MINDFULNESS FOR YEARS. MY YOGA PRACTICE TREMENDOUSLY CHANGED WHEN I BEGAN EXPERIENCING AUTOIMMUNE SYMPTOMS. I WENT FROM MY DOCTOR INSTRUCTING ME NOT TO EXERCISE AT ALL (DUE TO INFLAMMATION) TO SLOWLY REGAINING MY STRENGTH. SOON I'LL FINISH MY 500-HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING, ALSO FROM BRETT LARKIN'S UPLIFTED PROGRAM. I encourage you to ask your doctor if you are able to practice restorative yoga, such as Yin Yoga or Yoga Nidra. I don't have props or yoga blocks. Can I still practice? Yes! You can use sturdy books and/or pillows to help you ease into a stretch. Blankets, pillows (and more pillows), and an eye mask are some of favorite props to use when practicing Yoga Nidra.
