Web Accessibility Statement

What′s an accessible website?

25% of the citizens in Israel have some sort of a disability. Thanks to the new
regulations for web accessibility, people with disabilities are now able to use
and contribute to the Web more effectively. Web accessibility also benefits
people without disabilities in certain situations, such as people with
"temporary disabilities" such as a broken arm, and people with changing
abilities due to aging.

This accessible website has been modified according to IS 5568. This standard is
consistent with the international W3C organization guidelines. We are allowing
people with disabilities to browse our website more conveniently, by navigating
via the keyboard, changing the size of the text or the colors of the website,
and by presenting a Help Bar for navigating the website.

These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with
disabilities, and user friendly for everyone. We′re working hard to achieve our
goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realise there are some areas that still
need improving. To help us make the website a positive place for everyone, we′ve
been using the W3C Guidelines.

Manual

The system will inform you with its activation in every page you visit. Please
wait for the page to finish loading. At the top of the page you can find two
menus: Page′s map Website′s map, which allows you to navigate directly to the
wished ereas/pages.

1. Navigating via keyboard or keyboard-like accessories:



By pressing the TAB key, you will find all the shortcuts on this page, and be
able to navigate between them. While activaded, the system changes the item′s
background to help the user see its exact location. In order to retuen the the
previous item, press SHIFT+TAB. Pressing the ENTER key will transfer you to the
item′s content. Mark “Activate” in the status bar, and then click “Apply
Changes”.

 

2. Changing color scheme

Using this option allows you to change the color of the text and the background,
according to your choice, and so – enlarge the contrast. Supporting browsers
also allow you to change the color of all images in the website.

 

3. Caption Size

There are 3 different sizes to select from: Normal, Medium, and Large. The size
of the text in the website will change according to the user′s choice.

4. Help Bar

Activating “Help Bar” allows you to get a short description of all objects in
the website.

 

Pay attantion! after selecting the changes, click “Apply Changes”. This will
activate the chosen changes. To cancel the selected changes, click “Cancel
Accessability”.
