THE EXPERIENCE

ILUMINA  IS AN INTERACTIVE LIGHT AND SOUND SCULPTURE POWERED BY PARTICIPANTS'
COLLECTIVE HEART.

During the experience, participants enter into a state of coherence, or deep
harmony with themselves, one another, and the universe. Sensors provided by the
HearthMath Institute measure their collective state of coherence, which in turn
activates the sculpture’s stunning light-show and soundscape. ILUMINA is a
profound visual, aural, and mystical experience that highlights the
interconnectivity of our planet and enhances the global energy field.





PABLO GONZÁLEZ VARGAS

- ARTIST -

The founder of one of the leading e-payment platforms in Latin America, Sr.
Pago, Vargas was also a founder of EXA Radio & TV, among the most important
media outlets for the Latin American youth market. It was during this time that
he provided the vision which led to multiple concerts, performances, and music
festivals. Working as a production director for the Dish/MVS TV network, Vargas
remains a passionate supporter of the Visual and Performing Arts. Among his
artistic pursuits, Vargas was the creator of the Mayan Warrior, a multi-media
arts vehicle which first visited Burning Man in 2012, and which has returned
each of the six years since then. Currently immersed in the Fintech industry,
Ilumina is his first work of public sculpture.

GABY VARGAS

- HEARTMATH EXPERT & EXECUTIVE PRODUCER -

Gaby Vargas is a press, radio, and television communicator. She's collaborated
with more than thirty newspapers and magazines in Mexico and the USA. The author
of 15 books on topics related to wellness, personal growth, human development
and health, she's considered the most widely read woman of Mexico. A master
certified by the HeartMath Institute, she's also been master certified by
Enneagram Worldwide.


MENDRIX

- MUSIC -

With music industry experience across nearly every conceivable genres, Billy
Mendez is a co-founder of Motel and a member of live acts, Disco Ruido and
Métrika. His solo work is presented under the name Mendrix.

COCOLAB - System Integration -

Cocolab is a Mexico City based studio which is composed of artists in different
fields of digital arts. Their work is a collaboration of creators that build
unique audiovisual experiences for large audiences.

They develop their own tools such as software and hardware in order to enrich
their audiovisual experiences with the purpose of expanding the possibilities of
creation.

The studio has been exploring for the past ten years, the limits between the
posible and the imposible with technology, making audiovisual installations a
powerful way of communicating with the audience through sound and movement.

PAOLO MONTIEL

- LIGHTING -

The director of architectural light design (Architainment) company, Nerd Light,
Montiel is a specialist in Live Entertainment Design (Culturetainment), Show
Control, Architectural Audio and Interactive Installations.

With a background in physics, music and applied lighting, Montiel created the
LED lighting that makes Ilumina shine. He's also collaborated closely on all of
artist James Turrell's works in Mexico.


HEARTMATH

THE BETTER THE PEOPLE - PLANET CONNECTION IS UNDERSTOOD, THE MORE WE CAN ACHIEVE
MENTAL, EMOTIONAL STABILITY AND WELL-BEING.

During the ILUMINA experience, participants engage in a breathing meditation
that ushers them into a state of coherence, or deep harmony with themselves, one
another, and the universe. Sensors provided by the HearthMath Institute measure
each individual’s unique state of coherence and averages them together.
ILUMINA’s dazzling lighting design and moving soundscape respond to this
algorithm: as the group becomes more coherent, the sculpture glows brighter and
the music swells. The sound composition, which consists of thirteen chord
progressions, was composed to facilitate a deeply meditative state and activate
positive emotions such as love and gratitude.

The HearthMath Institute has shown that breathing into the heart center while
activating positive emotions can result in optimal clarity, health, and
performance. In a coherent state, the body, mind, and spirit are synchronized in
a symphony of wellness. Individuals can achieve increased personal coherence by
learning to consistently regulate their emotions from an intuitive internal
reference point. When a group of people consciously enters into a collective
state of coherence together, they can powerfully enhance the global energy
field. In a heart connected world, we are united, whole, and in harmony with our
higher selves, others, and Mother Earth.
