PHD IN PSYCHOLOGY: INDUSTRIAL-ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

Our Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology with a major in Industrial-Organizational
Psychology provides an education in applied psychological science, and in
preparing students to meet the challenges of an increasingly diverse and global
workplace. A rigorous and well-rounded program of study gives students a
thorough grounding in theory, methodology, and content in applied and basic
research in I-O Psychology. These courses are taught by experienced faculty who
are involved in both research and practice.

Our program focuses on issues such as the psychology of human resource
management, group behavior, cultural diversity in organizations, employee health
and wellbeing, and training and development. The program emphasizes a commitment
to research and application as a part of specialty area development. Our alumni
hold positions in private and public-sector organizations, consulting, and at
colleges and major universities around the globe.
