TESTING & QC


Analytical Testing

Material characterization is the process of measuring and determining physical,
chemical, mechanical and thermal properties of materials. It leads to the higher
level of understanding needed to resolve important issues, such as material
identification, reverse engineering, causes of failure and process-related
problems and allows the manufacturer to make critical materials decisions.

Physical & Chemical Testing

Physical& Chemical Testing Laboratory (TPCL) offers testing and analytical
services for measuring physical, mechanical, and chemical properties of
different textile materials as well as the raw materials such as dyes &
auxiliaries used in textile manufacturing.

Testing of Restricted Substances

In today’s highly complex and changing consumer marketplace, consumers prefer
products that pose no threat to themselves or environment. Therefore, textile
manufacturers and retailers need to be confident that their products are free
from hazardous and restricted substances.

Textile Comfort Testing

At all stages of the development process NTRC Comfort Lab offers unique
opportunities to quantify, study, evaluate, and compare the comfort of textile
materials knits, woven, nonwovens, and composite systems.

Protective Textiles Testing

To enhance the quality of human life trough protection against various hazards
as well as protections of environmental effects that may result in injuries or
death, scientist all around the world have developed protective clothing.
Protective clothing is now a major part of textiles classified as technical or
industrial textiles. Protective clothing includes fire resistant, cut resistant,
sun protective clothing, water resistant fabric and Antimicrobial fabric.

Antimicrobial Testing

Antimicrobial agents are useful textile additives that provide resistance to
microorganisms, potentially preventing infections caused by organisms of
concern. NTRC is equipped with accredited, state of the art laboratories to
evaluate the performance of textiles against microbes.

QA/QC and Inspection Services

In today’s business environment of global competition, quality of products
strengthens one’s competitive position by focusing on customer orientation. This
facilitates survival and further growth of the company. Producing quality
products is, normally, much preferable to increasing the volume of sales
turnover, especially in a competitive market or a recession. Quality assurance
and control aims to strive for excellence in performance in fulfilling customer
expectations and requires very systematic approach for its implementation.

Our Fiber development team focuses on the synthesis of versatile polymer-based

services and carries out research and development projects for the industry.

Fabric Development

When you want a custom fabric, NTRC can construct it. We are ready to produce
any type of custom textile or clothing item. We employ modern technologies and
sustainable R & D efforts to develop versatile fabric designs/constructions,
focusing on requirements of clients.

NATIONAL TEXTILE RESEARCH CENTER (NTRC) IS THE CENTRAL RESEARCH FACILITY AT
NATIONAL TEXTILE UNIVERSITY, PAKISTAN. ESTABLISHED IN 2014, NTRC IS THE LARGEST
RESEARCH FACILITY IN TEXTILES WITHIN PAKISTAN, FULFILLING THE RESEARCH, PRODUCT
DEVELOPMENT, TESTING AND QUALITY CONTROL NEEDS OF LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL
