CLAFFEY Partner Ms. Claffey is a partner with Kuck | Baxter LLC, and she handles a wide array of U.S. immigration and nationality matters. She has more than 15 years of experience across a wide range of immigration matters. Specifically, she routinely handles business immigration cases which include immigrant and nonimmigrant visa processing, extraordinary ability petitions and national interest waivers. Ms. Claffey also practices family-based immigration which includes consular processing, adjustment of status application, family and preference petitions, and she has extensive experience with asylum, VAWA petitions, and visas for those who were victims of crimes or various forms of trafficking. MR. JORGE A. GAVILANES Partner Mr. Jorge A. Gavilanes is an Associate Attorney with Kuck | Baxter Immigration. Mr. Gavilanes graduated with his Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management – Finance, from Brigham Young University. Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Gavilanes served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Donald Eyre and James Brady of the Utah Fourth District Court. While in law school, Mr. Gavilanes interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Utah, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, and was the Executive Editor of BYU’s Education and Law Journal. Prior to law school, Mr. Gavilanes worked as a Financial Analyst for a multinational Fortune 500 corporation. Mr. Gavilanes grew up in Ecuador and he is fluent in Spanish. He is a member of the Utah State Bar. MS. LAURA ROSMARIN Partner EDUCATION Ms. Rosmarin received her B.A. Degree, cum laude, from Boston University in 1990. She earned her J.D. degree from Emory University Law School in 1993. EXPERTISE Laura has over twenty years of experience working with businesses and individuals in the field of immigration law. Wala graduated with her Juris Doctor from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in 2022. During her time in law school, Wala served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Magistrate Judge, Jerusha T. Adams, where she wrote judicial recommendations, memorandums, and orders. Additionally, Wala was awarded the Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate and a Mediation Certificate for the hours she completed mediating civil cases in district court. While in law school, Wala took part in the Elder Law Clinic, where she worked one on one with clients to help with several legal needs, including wills and trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, property and financial needs, and government benefits. Wala was recognized as a Public Interest Society Fellow for her public interest and public service work. Prior to relocating to Georgia, Wala lived in Alabama. In her spare time, Wala enjoys catching up on the latest archeological news, listening to true crime podcasts, and spending time with her family. ولاء حجاز هي محامية في مكتب محاماة للهجرة يسمى كوك باكستر. ولاء أكملت شهادة البكالوريوس والماجستير في علم النفس في جامعة آبرون مونتجومري. أكملت ولاء شهادة الدكتوراة في القانون من كلية تاومس جود جونز للقانون في جامعة فاكنور سنة ٢٠٢٢. اثناء دراستها، عملت ولاء في مكتب القاضية جروشة آدمز في المحاكم الفدرالية المحلية. حازت ولاء على شهادات للمداخلات القانونية المتعلقة في تحاكم المتخاصمين وكذلك للإصلاح بين المتنازعين قبل الوصول الى المحاكم. خلال فترة دراستها عملت ولاء عند مكاتب المسنين وكبار السن لمساعدتهم على كتابة وصاياهم وامورهم المالية والصحية والقانونية وكذلك حقوقهم المالية من الدولة. حصلت ولاء على جوائز عدة لجهودها في الاعمال الخيرية. عاشت ولاء معظم حياتها في الاباما وحصلت على ليسانس الحقوق في الباما وهي عضو فاعل في نقابة المحامين في الاباما. ترجع أصول ولاء الى قرية جميلة تقع ما بين نابلس ورام الله تدعى تر مسعيا. فولاء فلسطينية الأصل وقد زارت فلسطين مرات عديدة. تجيد ولاء اللغة العربية والإنجليزية. عندنا يتاح لها الوقت، تمارس ولاء هوايتها في دراسة علم الاثار ودراسة الجرائم التي ما زالت بلا حل. والعائلة مهمة جدا لولاء فهي تحب قضاء الوقت مع العائلة.
