We have ALL sinned against God and we deserve a punishment. However, did you
know that a transaction can take place in order to wipe away your sins to avoid
that punishment? This transaction is found in Ephesians 1:13-14

13 And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves
you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you
the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that
he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be
his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

The reason why you struggle to believe in God is because you have not completed
this transaction. You don't have His Holy Spirit within you. The carnal mind
does not accept the things of the Spirit of God. This is why you must do your
part of the transaction by trusting in Jesus Christ (the Son of God) as your
savior, truly repent (to change your mind) of your sins, and change your
lifestyle to live for Him instead of yourself (your flesh).
