ERIN – A Fergus woman is dead following a two-vehicle crash here on Tuesday
morning. Emergency crews were called to the scene, on Wellington Road 125 at
Halton-Erin Townline, southeast of Ospringe, on June 6 at about 6am.

PARTIAL FIRE BAN DECLARED BY WELLINGTON COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENTS

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Fire departments across the county have declared a partial
fire ban, effective June 7, “due to the extreme dry conditions.” There is no
burning allowed, other than recreational cooking fires.

PALMERSTON MAN SENTENCED TO HOUSE ARREST FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS, INDECENT ACTS

GUELPH – Palmerston resident Michael Hurst was sentenced to two years of house
arrest and three years of probation following convictions for sexual assaults
and indecent acts involving five women between 2007 and 2015.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – A local teenager is facing child pornography charges after

An east wind brought along some cooler temperatures this weekend, but with it
came a haze in the sky caused by forest fires in Quebec.

It would be around this time of year the chicks were ready for pickup at
Bonnie’s Hatchery in downtown Elmira. Driving past the other day we were
reminded of a visit more than 40 years ago.
