In order to ensure a syndicate passes the ‘control test’ syndicate members are required to be involved to make decisions on how the syndicate deals with certain management issues. The Syndicate Manager (PropSynd) will appoint professional advisers and property managers to deal with day to day running of many aspects the property e.g. collecting rent, lease queries, maintenance, services e.t.c., but you will still be involved periodically and need to make yourself available for key decisions.
