Simple works with your skin. We know that good skin starts with good
ingredients: so, we use only skin loving ingredients & vitamins your skin needs
to function properly.

Harsh chemicals irritate skin and can have a negative impact on our overall
health and the planet.  So, we don’t use them!  Our products don’t over-strip,
over-irritate or over-complicate your skincare routine.




OUR NOS LIST

We say no to harsh chemicals that can upset your skin, because we believe what
we leave out of our products is just as important as what we put in them. That
is why we have developed and shared our NOs list, so you can always trust that
our skincare will be the most gentle and effective even on the most sensitive
skin. 


 * NO ARTIFICIAL PERFUMES
   
   Because they can upset your skin. Any light odour smell is coming from an
   active ingredient.


 * NO ARTIFICIAL COLOURANTS
   
   Makes products look flashy, but can overload your skin. We don't believe in
   adding anything that doesn't benefit the skin.


 * NO ALCOHOL
   
   Yep, we keep all our products free from alcohol* since it can dry out your
   skin, weakening your skin’s natural barrier.


 * NO HARSH CHEMICALS
   
   Of course! We never use harsh chemicals that could upset your skin.


 * NO SOAP
   
   Soap is a drying agent that will get rid of the essential natural oil on the
   surface of your skin. Our products contain mild/gentle cleansing agents
   instead.


 * OTHER NO'S
   
   Ingredients not kind to skin: Salicylic Acid, SLS, Peroxide, Retinol,
   Glycolic Acid
   
   Simple also have NO: Parbens, Phthalates, MIT, Animal Derived Ingredients,
   Petrolatum, Formaldehyde Donors, cyclopentasiloxane (D5), Fragrance,

Skin-strengthening Vitamin B5 is your go-to for hydrating and repairing skin.
This powerful skincare ingredient attracts and retains moisture like a magnet,
and it boosts skin’s natural protective barrier for strong, healthy-looking
skin. Which is why you’ll find Pro-Vitamin B5 in most of our Kind to Skin range
including our new Moisturising Facial Wash and Refreshing Facial Wash.

Pentavitin

Dry, dehydrated skin? Meet Pentavitin AKA your skin’s answer to long-lasting
hydration that doesn’t wash away. This 100% naturally derived hydration hero
creates a protective wall of moisture and binds deep within the layer of your
skin meaning hydration continues long after application. We use it across all
our products in our Water Boost Range and in our 3% Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin B5
Serum Booster

Niacinamide

Niacinamide also known as vitamin B3 helps to rebalance skin by boosting natural
production of building blocks that form and strengthen the skin’s barrier. It
also helps with balancing oil-production, soothe any redness and even skin tone.
It’s our hard-working ingredient and you’ll find it in our 10% Vitamin B3
Niacinamide Booster Serum, Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser, and Kind to
Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser.

Vitamin C

One of the most powerful antioxidants that helps to strengthen skin, refine
texture issues, and increase natural regeneration for skin that is glowing,
brighter and protected. We formulate our products with just the right amount so
it’s suitable for even the most sensitive skin, you can find it in our 10%
Vitamins CEF Booster Serum and across our Protect'n'Glow Range.

Being kind to the planet is an important part of what we do. We make sure our
products and formulas leave behind a kind footprint – which is why we are
committed to choosing kinder, smarter, and more sustainable options.

From using more recyclable packaging and alternatives to single-use plastic, to
aiming for sustainably sourced and non-GMO ingredients and becoming PETA
Approved Vegan.

Biodegradable wipes

Simple is committed to sourcing sustainable ingredients and sustainable
packaging. As a company, we have commitment to 100% sustainably sourced paper
and board - made from recycled fibre or coming from certified sustainably
managed forests. Our ambition is to make our product formulations biodegradable
by 2030.  We are well on our way to achieving our goal since all our wipes range
and make up pads are now fully biodegradable!

 

Circular Economy 

Where we are not only using less packaging but designing our packaging to be
reused, recycled, or composted. Keeping this valuable material where it should
be – in the circular economy.  When it comes to plastic, less, better or no
plastic is our motto! All Simple bottles and tubes are fully recyclable AND our
bottles are made with recycled plastic. We have also moved away from any green
bottles as we know clear bottles are easier to be recycled and reused. 

GHG Reduction

Our company aims to have no carbon emissions from our own operations and to
halve GHG footprint of our products across the value chain by 2030.  With the
launch of our biodegradable wipes we have decreased our GHG by 19.8% per wipe.
By doing a life cycle analysis we are fully aware of the areas of focus.

Around 29% of our GHG footprint comes from raw materials for ingredients and
packaging.  Which is why we’re continuously evaluating alternative raw material
for our key formats and remain committed to sustainable sourcing of our
ingredients to decrease GHG.  We’re committed to becoming carbon positive AND
are well on our way.

Care about animals? So do we. Simple does not test on animals anywhere in the
world and is proud to be PETA Approved. When it comes to developing skincare
that is safe for humans, there is no need for animals to be involved and as a
brand born in Europe, we are proud Europe has had a ban on animal testing since
2013


OUR PARTNERSHIPS

WOODLAND

 

The Woodland Trust, the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity, brings
damaged ancient woodland back to life, safeguarding the carbon stores of the
future and giving thousands of threatened wildlife species a home.

Simple’s support to date will help the Woodland Trust restore 116 hectares of
ancient woodland. Ancient woods store carbon in their trees and their soil,
offer priceless cultural and heritage value and have an irreplaceable impact on
biodiversity.


“Ancient woodlands are some of our most biodiverse habitats and per hectare one
of the best carbon stores in the country, but at least 60% of our existing
ancient woodland is under threat. You can’t create ancient woodland, it takes
centuries to develop its unique characteristics, so once it’s gone, it’s gone
forever. But thanks to our partnership with Simple we can bring some of these
precious habitats back from the brink, and make sure they’re still there for
future generations of people and wildlife.” Dr Dean Kirkland, Ancient Woodland

THAMES21



An environmental charity that mobilises thousands of volunteers every year to
clean up the foreshore of the Thames and works on conservation projects for
wetlands. 

Simple sponsors two major public “Big Wet Wipe Counts” removing  312 bags
equivalent of 7tonnes of wipes and other waste that ends up on the foreshore
when not disposed of properly. Simple will also help to support Thames21’s
bespoke accredited training program for volunteers. Training them to run their
own river litter-picks/river restoration activities and reach 1k+ people in
London’s communities.

Remember to recycle packaging waste.  But if you do see waste in the river . . .
. help us pick it up!
